I disagree when you go on a job you trained first.
Being a professional athlete is mastering a profession like a doctor with a PHd. You have to learn before you operate on people you trained in other fields as well.
Like I said it works both ways depending on if JJ more a visual learner or hands on. I would not put him in to early and limit him and the whole team. It’s a no brainer when he grasps everything is when you put him in not a second before.
Not just training camp. If JJ has a trainer he can work on that there too. Actually OTAs is for that. Training camp is the real deal if you want to play early you better come into training camp ready. Because at training camp it’s season time. Can’t be babysitting nobody who starting then. He might come in week 7 it won’t be week 1. That’s if he is close though if he not close at the start of training camp it may be longer.
They did that with Hall. They knew he wasn’t ready that’s why they went with others. But trotted him out there anyways and if you not ready you get overwhelmed. Others teams not to forgiving to guys learning. Some guys learn faster than others. But don’t force it is what I’m saying.
