True officially it is only one firing. Regardless of whether we believe the story of Norv's resignation. However Boz did say over and over. If you count Norv it's partially correct. Had he added another over he would of been exaggerating it. Over and semi-over is the truth.

If being a Viking fan was easy ~ everyone would do it.

Wilfs most definitely have a large share of the blame.

Do they care more about the bottom line or winning a championship? Seems to me like it's the bottom line, for sure. How else could you explain what you just described? Not holding the leadership/management accountable despite their repeated failures?

They may care about winning, at least that's their long time p.r. stance--it's been good for business.
But caring, even deeply, isn't enough.

The problem as I see it (and have tended to pound the table about lol) is that their philosophy of "continuity" is mistaken. This along with bad hires over the years and their fantasy beliefs about being like other, successful teams, have built a culture (everybody's favorite word these days) where the g.m. and coach are judged on a fantasy standard that doesn't achieve greatness or even genuinely contend, and this leaves Rick and Mike only moderately accountable for results. The owner's belief is just give them all the time in the world and it will magically happen.

As we used to say when I was a lad, it's a great gig if you can get it!

Zimmer loves to bring in guys to coach whether it makes sense or not. He hasn't exactly been a great judge of assistant talent IMHO.

I think Shurmer and Norv didn't see eye to eye. Zimmer created the situation that led to Norv quitting.

But there's nothing for Norv to gain by telling the truth--guys in the fraternity tend to keep the dirty laundry secret because it can affect hiring and damage relationships which underly most hiring, and they are all on a continual hot seat of uncertainty. Well except in Vikingland where Japanese-style lifetime head coach job security is the thing.

No, I'm saying more like 1 1/2 because I don't totally believe the party line over Norv. Not that it matters because Pat did a great job his one full season. The point is 2 OC's have not finished a season. That is a bit odd don't you think. It has to be questioned. The over and over part was sarcasm. If he would have said over and over...and over. That would have been exaggerating because there's no 3rd to question.
