Turner needs to be good though or it was a bad pick. Y’all act like I hate the guy. Love or not it’s about performing. I would cut my own child if I had too. That’s why if you my friend or especially family, I don’t do business with you. I don’t get people I know hired at my job neither. I don’t mix business with those I love.Business and personal relationships are completely separate for me it’s a code I live by. So this never personal strictly business.

So your expectations early is the same for a first or seven? Initially not me I picked a guy higher because I think he’s better. That is why we have pay scales. Now after I draft you I’m playing who is best for my team at all times. BFlo does that too so yeah. No politics after we hit the field, however every pick should not have the same early expectations. Because if I covet you I get you early later I’m taking a flier on guys. First few rounds I don’t want fliers I want plans and earlier the better.

In the realm of football it’s not personal it’s business. I trained but never coached my kids why. Because that’s business starting playing time etc etc… I rather not be position to say you not starting.All guys have to perform or I want you gone. You get a few years to figure it out and that’s how it goes.

FTR my babies cold at sports they started always. But that’s business I never wanted to make that call. So no business decisions on my family. So I stay away from coaching any of there teams.

and it's way too early to even be discussing the IF. He's 21 and just had a good game and has already shown more than Cine or Treadwell. Maybe just let it play out and see how things turn out. We are 6-2 with a really good defense.

In Flores' system. This is where you chronically make the same mistake with your data over and over again. You generically apply historical data to the current situation while ignoring context.

Brian was a scout. A DC for a dynasty. Is currently the highest rated DC in the League. He wanted Turner. He's using Turner like he uses AVG: a hybrid OLB/ILB. A role your data points factually don't account for because you are using players like Hunter who almost never drop into coverage.

Most of us want Dallas used more and as a traditional Edge. Brian wants him to learn and play a dual role in one of the more complicated schemes seen in recent memory. In that context, being just 21 years old absolutely matters.

That's apples and oranges, Barr was an off-ball LB for Zimmer whereas fans wanted him to be a full-time edge rusher. For Turner, either way he is still an edge rusher first but the question is how much is he dropping back into coverage and playing like a hybrid LB at times.

For reference, Van Ginkel is dropping back in coverage about 37% of the time while Greenard is dropping back 11%. That's about the discrepancy we're talking about.

Agreed. This is all fiddle f*cking around. Flores scheme isn't the be all end all. He might not even be here next year which means 1 year of Turners contract wasted.

Except Flores was perfectly fine using him primarily as a pass rusher week 1, and when he was pretty bad in that game, with Jones playing well, he was relegated to the bench and special teams.

This has nothing to do with Flores' scheme, nothing to do with him wanting Turner to drop into coverage more, this has everything to do with Flores thinking Jones is better at rushing the passer than Turner. With Cashman back, Jones continuing to suck, and Turner looking good in limited pass rush snaps, he will rush the passer more in the coming game. All of this at the age of 21.
