It is funny, because if you look at another rookie like Turner, people would be calling him a bust if he sat behind Jones or Ward the entire season and they would be 100% right to be concerned. Ward and Jones are brutally bad OLBers, and even as a rookie making rookie mistakes, he should show flashes that make those rookie mistakes less important than the upside he will bring.
The same is true for JJM and Maye. If those two can't show enough in camp to make their head coaches see the upside of starting them over what are arguably the two worst starting QBs in the league, that is a really bad sign.
As I have said before, it is one thing to sit behind a HOF QB or a QB with the highest passer rating in the league that year, it is a whole other thing to sit behind what we have a the QB position.
Ah, but you can speed it up by giving him thr opportunity to play football instead of just watch it.
