Ah, don’t look now but you entire list blames Cousin for them not winning. He didn’t do this, he didn’t do that. Tell us, if you aren’t blaming him, what should he have done differently?

Well it's pretty simple but I'll try to explain it: This is a thread QBs, particularly Kirk Cousins, who play on the offense. Does that help?

If you're bizarrely suggesting that the Vikes subpar defense causes Cousins to score less points, that's going to require some evidence - which I'll look forward to seeing. Because I could just as easily argue the opposite - throughout his career Cousins has often put up big numbers against prevent (or preventish) defenses when trailing by large amounts. So a bad defense on his own team could just as easily increase his points per game. 

One. I have never placed any QB on a pedestal. Never will.  It's an effing team game.  One played by 22 players.  One player can make a difference, but one player cannot do it by themself. 

Two. I'm not "ripping" others. Simply pointing out the fact that it is a team game. 

Three.  If the defense doesn't change and get better, the QB isn't going to matter.  Period.  And nothing the QB does will make the defense any better at stopping the other team from scoring a TD or a Field goal.  

Four. Many people here made up their minds about Cousins before he even put the Vikings uniform on for the first time.  And they have done nothing but criticize him and find fault with everything he as done since he got here. Good or bad.  

Mine?  Only that he plays good ball and doesn't a lot of stupid mistakes.  Has he met them?  Sure. 25 ppg should be enough for any team to make the playoffs. And it usually is.  But then we would have to talk about the Defense and their role.  Which is a non-starter when talking about Cousins and "his inability" to take the team to the next level. 

Brady lead offenses were 1st in PPD and 2nd in YPD from 2001-2019 (don't have 2000 data).

Mahomes is #1 in both.

Rodgers was 3rd and 4th from 2008-2022

Dak fricken Prescott was 3rd and 4th from 2016-2023.

Allen has been 4th and 8th from 2018-2023

Jackson 7th and 6th.

Herbert 6th and 4th.

To be precise, in games he played in MN it was 24.9 ppg.  In Wash, it was 23.2.  Vikings defense gave up 23.6 ppg while Wash gave up 24.5 in games he played.    The fact is 23.6 or 24.9 is good enough to win if you have a decent defense.  Can you imagine the difference it might have made if he had a defense like Allen's that only gave up 18.6 ppg?  Or Brady's' that only gave 19.7 per game?  Ah but I digress back to my defense matters.   The best comparison is actually Rodgers the last 5 years.  25.5 ppg on offense and a defense that gave up 22.3 ppg.  Rodgers record over that 5 years.............54-27-1  Compare that to Cousins 46-33-1.   And I would be willing to bet that if you find any QB with ppg differential of 3 points or less, their numbers will be around the same.  Just over .500.  Good enough to win in the Regular season but not the playoffs.

Cousins seems to have lapses where he disappears for parts of games.
Defense makes a good stop or turnover and Kirk goes 3 and out. How many times have we seen that?
How about all them 3rd -5 yards where he throws a check down to the line of scrimmage.
Probably someone else’s fault.
