Wilson's dead cap in 2024 if cut is 85M. It's 68M if traded. He's not going anywhere.

Murray's dead cap in 2024 is 81.5M if he's cut. I think it's around 44M if he's traded, so he might be moveable. He's definitely moveable in 2025, but I'm not seeing a scenario where AZ turns around and signs Kirk. They could draft some one with their high pick and then trade Murry in 2025, but that would be it.

Yeah, it's looking like Murray will at least play one more year in Arizona as the #1 Bears and #2 Patriots picks will likely be the top 2 QBs, and then the Cardinals could/should take WR Marvin Harrison Jr at #3. Or I guess they could move up, but it's just so expensive to move off Murray. The rumors that they were going to sit him the whole year were bunk, though.

As for Denver, I imagine Payton wants nothing more than to move off Wilson, but despite the bump in play he's still a below average starting QB getting paid a king's ransom. They probably hire a new GM over the offseason and figure out a plan going forward.

So, how did he win a Super Bowl? Funny thing, since 2018 he's been better than Josh Allen. But, that's just the stat line. So, if Wilson is below average, that would make Allen below average, right?

I'm talking about current Russell Wilson, if you pull up his page on Pro Football Reference there's a clear delineation between his prime and his current form (0.3% more interceptions, 1.7% less TDs, 7.8 Y/A down to 7.1 Y/A, etc). And he won a Super Bowl with a quality coaching staff and a great defense and it helped that he was only making about $1M a year on his rookie deal. And if you watch the games, Wilson is clearly not playing at the same level he was for the majority of his career.

Can we stop the Josh Allen comparisons? You're lumping in Allen's learning phase and prime with Wilson's prime and start of his decline. There isn't any point to randomly comparing these 6 years of their careers.

Is it fair to put the last 2 years on Wilson when he went to a terrible team with a coach that got fired into his first year and has had to adapt to the second one this year? I understand Vikings fans think a QB should be able to win a SB every year with a new OC but that’s not really realistic. He is still a good QB just doesn’t have a good team.

I'm not talking about Denver's lack of success, I'm talking about how Wilson isn't playing at the same level as a passer, his accuracy simply isn't what it used to be. He's regressed in basically all categories, it's not just a Denver offense thing.

I don't actually think Watson will cost any jobs because it was the owner Jimmy Haslam who forced his GM to make the move, and Stefanski is coaching his butt off. Haslam wants a subserviant GM and currently has one.

Paton will be gone in Denver because Payton will want his own guy at GM.

I can't blame JJ for wanting a better quarterback than he's had lately, but that doesn't mean he has any perspective (or credibility for that matter) on what's best for the team. And going back to Kirk just guarantees us more middlin mediocrity, but better stats for JJ

Just trade JJ. He can’t win a championship himself anyway so do a mega trade and use it to grab that QB who you know is going to bring us championships.
