This shows how low your standards are, so it makes total sense why you defend Cousins every which way to Sunday. Knowing in 2018 that one playoff win in the next 5 years would be our future, you'd still make the same move if you could go back in time. Because you're scared of what - zero playoff wins? LOL.

You make zero sense. If you watch football and believe that the Vikings would have had a better record with Case or Teddy than Kirk then you would be laughed out of any serious football discussion.

I just bolded what I actually said and go figure it isn't what you claim. I have been referencing PPD because we were specifically talking about how the offense performed and whether or not it had really improved with Cousins lol. You are the one twisting that into your own argument for me instead of focusing on what I have actually been saying. I have not been using it to define the QB, I have been using it to show this offense wasn't elevated from what it had been doing with Keenum. It's a basic reality you seem to have trouble acknowledging and I have said multiple times over it doesn't make one QB better than the other. It's just that an obvious expectation is for the offense to clearly improve when you pay up huge money to improve the QB position, have great WR weapons still and get a talented RB like Cook back compared to Asiata.

Coaching plays a part in why that did not happen sure but we have a long span to look at among multiple OC's/coaches with at least a couple being solid which is why as I keep saying look at the full context. As I was pointing out before a big issue with only focusing on basic passing stats is it misses things like the important aspect of being able to use your legs which often shows up on key downs/off script plays. Keenum was great at that aspect and it helped him overcome a bad oline often, especially on 3rd downs (we ranked #1 in conversion % with him that year). Dobbs has been doing the same thing with I believe 4 big runs on 3rd/4th downs to extend drives and turn them into more points eventually. You keep ignoring this aspect but it is big in terms of why this happened and is not something you can blame on others. Cousins just isn't very good in those off script plays which can often happen on 3rd/4th downs as defenses are throwing what they got to get off the field. Situational football like that matters and basic individual stats can be boosted despite not necessarily helping the team in nearly the same way as this. It means that even though he is a better passer he won't necessarily elevate the overall offense too much over a min type of replacement QB that has said ability even if they aren't as good of a QB overall/Passer. I am not sure Dobbs will be able to maintain it but that's what we have seen so far from him too leading to more points the last couple games than we had averaged with Cousins. 

I know this will come as a shock - but you're over-simplifying and not seeing the big picture.

Case and Teddy aren't even on my mind. There are an essentially infinite number of things that would have gone differently for the Vikes had Kirk not been signed. Who the QB would have been in 2018 is just a tiny piece of that. How about the following years? How about all that extra money there would have been to go around each year afterwards? It would be a very different team today. Whether it would be a better one is, of course, impossible to say. But one playoff win is an extremely low bar. For you to say that you'd choose to stick with that - rather than risk 0 wins - borders on lunacy.

If you want to plant your mind there by all means be my guest but the reality of the situation is that those were our choices. We didn’t have the draft capital to take a top prospect and Kirk was the best of what was available. You will have to talk to someone else if you are living your life on Ifs and Buts.
