We're rebooting the Purple Pain Accountability Contest in this new thread for the 2023 season. Post your predictions here! Any predictions about the 2022 offseason, regular season, post season, or 2023 and beyond are welcome!

Predictions will be tracked here: Tracker

For those who might need some ideas for coming up with predictions, here's a list to start:

Ideas for Predictions

Team Records / Division Winners
Breakout players / rookies of the year
Coaches who will be fired / new hire predictions?
Stat leaders (who leads NFL in passer rating, rushing, receiving, sacks)
Who makes the 53-man roster
Who will win a game in a big matchup

For more ideas, here are some predictions that are on the board:

kyvikesfan59 2022 will be Dalvin Cook's last season as a Viking
Funkytown One of the quarterbacks from the 2022 class will make the Pro Bowl by 2025.
Danchat 2022 will be the only season Jordan Hicks plays with the Vikings.
Danchat Over the 2022-23 offseason, either Eric Kendricks or Dalvin Cook will be traded or released.
Danchat The Vikings will extend Justin Jefferson over the 2023 offseason to a deal that will either set a record for guaranteed money for a WR and/or set a record for $$$ per year.
diehardtwinsfan That's enough to extend Cousins this offseason, and there will be much anger.
Danchat Brian Asamoah will be a starter Week 1 2023.
Drew Bunting By 2024 Brian Asamoah will be top 3 NFL tackler.
Danchat Kirk Cousins gets another extension by trianing camp

I've moved the thread to the main page, let's get some 2023 predictions going! legendsofthenorth and tfundermann won cash prizes last month, and all you need to do to be eligible is to make 20 predictions by next year's Super Bowl! Time for some free agency predictions:

Dalvin Tomlinson gets $16M a year or more on his next deal.
Adam Thielen gets $10M a year or more on his next deal.

Yeah, I'm gonna need to you clarify this one to a more reasonable time frame... and also, predicting that a QB won't ever win a SB or MVP is a bunt. Actually, back in 2020 pre-draft I made the prediction that Jordan Love would not record 15 or more wins while on his rookie deal, so I'm ahead of you on making a Love prediction!

People will use the dead cap hits of Cousins and Davenport as a reason to extend them, ignoring the fact that the Vikings could easily make up those dead cap hits by doing the exact same thing with other players that they did with Davenport and Cousins this year.
