Just because RGIII's back-up, Kirk Cousins, rose to starter in MN and is under contract for 23, doesn't mean we need to start him. He was drafted to be a back-up and although he's been a starter in MN, he hasn't performed any better than most back-ups. He's a back-up. That's what he's always been. Why Spielman rolled the dice and his own career on a back-up QB is beyond me. Kirk didn't do anything in Washington to deserve elite QB money. Options
1. Start Mullens next year. Mullens is Case Keenum in just about every regard, size, arm-strength, mobility and..........he's a dawg. He's a scrapper and a great locker room guy. Former coaches and players have nothing but respect for this kids dedication to study and practice. He has put up some respectable numbers in his limited NFL action. He can't do any worse than Kirk.
2. Jordan Love is going to force a trade in GB. Rogers AINT goin anywhere in 23. Love still has one year left on his rookie contract; the packers do not have to trade him but...........he can hold out or work a trade. Speculators in GB think the most they could get for Love is a 3rd or 4th rd pick.
3. Keep starting RGIII's back-up. We all know how that story will end.
