If the Lions could solve their Jared Goff problem they might turn into a dangerous team.

As for the Packers, the front office has totally bungled the situation, first by drafting Love without consulting His Poutiness, then doubling down on Pouty-Poot and paying him the Moon just as he goes into decline.

Lions never had a Goff problem. They had a defense problem. They have scored more points than the Vikings at this point of the season.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you are not capable of great violence, you are not peaceful, you are harmless.

Positive: We were a shoo-in for the playoffs before our luck (seemingly) ran out.

How much elite talent do you see on this team? Great coaching? I don't think anyone believes that either. Do they?

Yeah probably. I would say for me it is that you are playing as one of the top 10 best in the league at your position. Others might have higher standards.

What's yours top 1, 3, 5 at your position?

Im not sure TJ and Hunter would be under a 'good' definition. Hunter isnt his old self, cant tackle, and rushes right past the RBs. At least Z is in the QBs face. Hunter is one of the players I wouldnt mind trading to a team for picks next season. Unless something changes.

I think Top 10 at their position is a fair definition of Elite. Hunter and Tomlinson are not Top 10, though. Top 20? Yes.

So that's JJ, the 2 Tackles, Z, Peterson and Hock. 6 out of 22 Starters.

Not in the Top 20? The rest of the O-Line. PFF grades aside they've been whooped by Philly, Washington and Dallas. And struggled against blitzing from Zona and the Fins.

Cook can still run like a gazelle in the open field. Problem is he has only gotten to said field a handful of times.

The LBs and Safeties can't cover the middle of the field. The baby Corners will be babies for at least another year. The DT depth sucks and they still don't have a legit interior pass rusher going on year whatever now.

The Receiving Corps after JJ is pedestrian. Kirk remains neither the problem nor the solution.

The only foundational building blocks are JJ, Darrisaw, O'Neill and Hockenson. Z and Peterson are on the wrong side of 30. I will add Tomlinson and Phillips to the list as long and Dalvin is extended at a reasonable price. Everything else is total unknowns.

This season is going to end precisely the way I predicted before it started. One Playoff win followed by a keister kicking. And I don't legitimately see anything Kwesi can do to break that ceiling in 2023. He doesn't have the Draft Picks or the Cap Space to do anything except continue to work in the margins.

Culture is a positive. I know some people think it's not significant to football but obviously the players would disagree with that. They are working together. They got on the same page early on. Watching them during training camp, I saw the importance of a positive working environment. Of course winning helps but coaches and players have to be able to work together too. Hockenson was a great pick up. The defense has made some plays and same goes for the offense.

Negatives include the 2 losses obviously and the losses show areas that need work. The run defense gives up a ton of yards and we are thin at corner. The OL is an issue against some of the better front 4s. Philly and Washington gave us fits and of course Dallas. The Bills defense is excellent but the OL did better. The offensive game plan sucked yesterday. The interior linemen make it difficult because the middle needs extra help. More hurry up please
