That's not dissimilar to what the Cowboys spent when they assembled a Line that was easily the best in Football at the time. Minnesota isn't even 16th, which is the very definition of meh.
4/5 of the Vikings OL are on rookie contracts. They haven't hit their ceiling yet. Ingram has barely gotten his feet wet.
Compared to starters (50%+ snaps) drafted since 2019:
Darrisaw 5th of 28 tackles
Cleveland 8th and Ingram 21st of 33 guards
Bradbury 3rd of 12 centers
I can understand expecting the OL to be a weakness coming into the year. But watching the games, it's clear they've improved considerably.
I agree with everything you just said. They do look better than their PFF grades to date. And there is still room to grow for Darrisaw, Cleveland and Ingram.
But that amount of Draft Capital should yield a Top 5 Unit sooner than later. Frankly, I'd be over the moon if this group got close to Top 10.
Meanwhile, the Front 7 is what, 75% Free Agent Signings? And the only drafted talent that profiles to replace a Starter is Asamoah. There are literally no IDL on the Roster to replace Tomlinson if he gets too pricey. They obviously also don't have a legit DE to play next to Dalvin and Harrison.
All those O-Line picks Rick made came at the expense of the Front 7.
