The defense looked good in preseason game 2.

Which reminds me, keep all things in perspective it was preseason game two. So whether it was our defense or offense it was a game where it doesn’t count with vanilla play calling.

Also I like that rose kid at rb.

The guards graded out good with pff from yesterday.

Don't know what you are talking about but if I did I would say Mond was arguably the best of the three last night and we will still hear those chants at some point.

I agree with everything you said, but I'm not one of those people who go around saying preseason in meaningless, so how do those people now make judgements about how players are playing in the preseason like they lack self awareness? Is it meaningless or not lol?

Yes the scoreboard and standings are meaningless, and maybe the stats, but I personally think we can learn a lot about young players in the preseason. For most of them, it's the only chance they're going to get to prove they belong on the 53, or to impress another team, so we will see their best effort regardless of how vanilla the playbook might be, or the level of their competition.

Having said that, my "I told you so" is going to be Browning. I was dunking on him after that night practice when everyone wanted to dub him Mr. Mankato. I dunked on him even harder when he threw that awful pick-6 to Wonnum at practice. Even at half speed, no pass rush, and no pads, his short comings looked pretty obvious to me. Why don't they to Zimmer? He gets paid a lot of money and he can't seem to figure out who is or isn't a decent QB until it's too late. We must not have anyone else in the organization with that ability either. I was led to believe practice was the be all end all for Mediocre Mike, so why did it take 2 preseason games for him to figure out Browning was a scrub?

You guys want me to stop obsessing about Sloooter, fine, I'm going to obsess about Mr. Mankato now, and for all the opposite but related reasons. It's pretty obvious why the trophy case is and will remain empty. Because if Mediocre Mike is this visually deaf at the QB position, what else is he getting wrong? CB comes to mind, K, DL, OL?

This is a very top-heavy team. Injuries will derail this season.

I don't think it works that way lol. If preseason is meaningless, then there's no such thing as too early, too late, or anything in between. It's "meaningless" and meaningless isn't autological.
