Geez at least a guy should make playoffs more than a year straight. We saw signs from Reid who stayed in playoffs it seemed with Eagles and Alex Smith in KC, prior to Mahomes. He behind those 2 so his level of credit don't line up to Reid and Harbaugh, sorry they are and were more consistent. Harbaugh went to the playoffs 4 straight years and then won it in year 5 of his tenure. Reid like I said stayed in the playoffs with Philly and got to the Bowl with McNabb. Went to KC and went constantly to playoffs with Alex who was a bust in SF.

You're the one comparing the three as if I said they were on the same level. I didn't. I said, they deserve more credit for what they've been able to accomplish without a consistently good/great quarterback, because having one of those makes everything a heck of a lot easier.

You put them in the same sentence as needing more credit. I just showed you Zim resume so far is not on their level. They both were more consistent and proved that prior to having Mahomes and Lamar. With lesser QB guys they consistency made the playoffs, went to a Bowl, and Harbaugh won it. That is why they stayed the coached so long for those teams. Meanwhile Zimmy can't get us to the playoffs consecutive seasons.

He not deserving of credit near the level of those guys so far he don't compare. He closer to Marvin Lewis but then again Lewis went to the playoffs back to back seasons. Lewis though never won a playoff game.

Just out of curiosity, how many of them had Wilson, Brees, Rodgers, Roethlisberger, etc. at quarterback? Having a Top 10 QB consistently for 5-10 years helps the HC look better. That's why, for me, guys like Zimmer, Harbaugh, and (pre-Mahomes) Reid deserve a bit more credit.

You make it seem Kirky the 25th QB he is outside the top 10 about 12 to 14 pretty good not elite top half of 32. Smith and Flacco was around the same level, yet those coaches showed signs still and consistency as HC, so yeah they need more credit. Zim need to step his game up with consistency before he get's credit. Right now he get's about what he deserves inconsistent opinions on him . just like his inconsistent seasons. It's fair right now. We can make excuse until we blue in the face to why he inconsistent, but the resume is the resume and that is just how it goes. Win it all and change that u heard.

That is why this year is so critical for Zim and Kirk IMO.

2018 was a failure, 2019 was a success, 2020 I will give them a pass for all that took place. Now 2021 we went out and improved things which should garner results, Then 2022 it will have to be proven it can be sustained back to back for once.

Which with or without Kirky has been the MO of Zim tenure. Playoffs no playoff all the way back to 2014. Am I lying?

Inconsistency brings uncertainty which is where people are with Zim up to this point and not sure where to place him in rankings as a coach.. Some feel he is a good HC, others not, and some have doubts and I am not sure. I am not sure because his roller coaster up and down keeps my head spinning. These next few years will tell the true story. Let's see what those results bare out.

The excuse game is now on mute and deaf ears for me now. It is show us or be shown the door. It is eat or be eaten and to me that is fair. More than fair actually, it has been 7 years of this yo yo affect.
