Is the roster complete?

I see us around 10 million after getting Breeland and signing the rest of the rookies approximately. So that leaves us with around 7 mil to spend if we holding 3 mil off for in season insurance.

Add Geno for around 3 mil, A guy like Westbrook for 2 mil. These are just 2 names other guys fit this equation using those 2 as examples.

That will leave us with 2 mil still to spend. Extend Harry giving us cap this year. Take the 2 mil still left and the cap savings for Harry to throw another 4 or 5 million at Hunter in a signing bonus to calm him down.

O'Neill extension won't kick in until next year, so that can be worked in without affecting this years cap. So based on these house cleaning moves we won't be able to add a safety nor a OL unfortunately. I think a rusher and a WR is more pressing than a S since we can do that within and one more OL. Just my thoughts and opinions on what can still be done to still get stronger.

If I was Rick and Brenzenski (which I am not) that is what I would be looking to do to maximize our chances. Just my thoughts of completion to the off-season going into training camp.

To answer this in a simplistic way, no NFL roster is truly ever complete. As the season ebbs and flows and teams need to make moves due to injuries or underperforming players etc, things naturally evolve. As far as the Vikings are concerned, we should have a complete roster regarding starting players on offense, but that is assuming both rookies are ready to go on the line. The third wide receiver is a legit concern, but we don't need to have every position filled until the regular season starts. I think once teams trim their rosters we would be able to find a better option.

On the defensive side of the ball, I think we're pretty set from a starting perspective except at right end, but I believe the Vikes know something we don't. Our third linebacker position should be a fun battle to watch, not that we use it a ton with playing nickel, but there are certain times where it's needed. D-backs are pretty set from a starting perspective.

Special teams is a wild card. So as far as having a set roster goes, I cannot say that until I know what their actual plan is for kicker.

Now all in all, we have depth concerns across the board. I have seen people bring up safety and even a few other positions, but the reality is if we lose starters at pretty much any position we could be hurting as we will be relying on young, unproven players that will simply need to put up or shut up and that is on coaching and scouting to make sure that they are ready.

I dont think any of Robinson/Weatherly/Jones/Wonnum are suited to be inside.... if anything, Hunter is the most suited out of them.... and I don't want to move Hunter from DE......

What about Jalyn Holmes??

Just kidding. I believe he is still practicing at DE but I have to believe he is "dead man walking", given the number of prospects there.
