We have 89 guys on the roster, 90 if you count Amari Henderson. He hasn't officially signed so I am not sure he will.
I think we did a good job this off-season in the draft. When you take into account where we were with the cap going in FA we also did a good job adding to this roster overall.
At first I didn't like the Smith and Nickerson pickups, but after adding Breeland and looking at the CB depth chart having 2 guys with NFL experience as deep depth insurance is actually pretty good.
The season is grueling though and I think we need 2 more moves to put a bow on this off-season and call it a success on paper.
WR and Pass Rusher: Westbrook, Fitz, Tate, and I am hearing Jamison Crowder may soon be available. I know we have 2 TEs, but we need to add one more solid WR. For one you want to keep teams off balance and 3 WR sets adds to the tool bag. Also I am not high on Beebe nor Bisi as #3 and ISM is a unknown. Plus if heaven forbid JJ or Thielen had to miss some time another decent option would be nice.
The only realistic DT I see is Geno.. He would maybe allow us to get away with rolling with what we have at DE. This is assuming Hunter situation will work itself out. We don't have a sure fire RE established starter, but we definitely have a lot of intriguing upside depth. If not Geno naturally DE is the need and the names are Houston, Vernon, Ingram. I thought EV, but if he is the one influencing Hunter no thanks. I hope he is not the one in that rumor.
If we made these last few moves I will give this off-season a B+. I refuse to give a A seems to homerish for my taste but I am impressed and if we tighten these last few bolts I will be joyful. I am actually pretty happy already.
I think with health we a playoff team this year. Add the sugar on top by getting Hunter happy, Extending O'Neill and Harry and let's get ready for the training camp and season grind SKOL!
