I don't see us having money for a Thuney or Scherff type.. Riley Reiff was decent, but he will be like 32, 33 next year. Coming off a decent year, but has had down years. My gut says let him go he won't have the same year next year. I still believe Ezra Cleveland would be better at OT. Giving us 2 athletic tackles.. Move Oli to guard(he could still be a back up OT too for injury) Draft Wyatt Davis Ohio St in round 1 and another lineman in round 3 and get a mid tier FA OL Guard as well.. So oline looks like this:
LT Ezra Cleveland, LG Wyatt Davis (rookie Ohio St.), C Bradbury, RG Oli/FA mid tier/rookie 3rd Rd( competition to start), RT O'Neill
Plus we will see if Kyle Hinton C/OG and Blake Brandel OT can get in the mix (at least as backups) Samia sucks he looks out the competition to me, yes he was that bad. Then draft another OT for even more depth again in round 4 yes we need oline that bad! Since we have a lot of 3rd,4th, 5th trade into the 2nd round for 3tech.. So OG round 1, DT round 2, and back to OL with a 3rd and again with one of the 4ths.. I will find out later what to do with the other picks..
Also resign Brett Jones and Rashod Hill will cost nothing dirt cheap. Jones as the backup C and Rashod as another backup OT with some experience. Just a thought on one path we could go attacking the OL. Breakdown parenthesis indicates they can play multiple positions. We usually go to preseason with 16 Offensive lineman.
OT options OG options C options
1.Brian O'NEILL 1.Wyatt Davis Rookie RD1 1.Garrett Bradbury
2.Ezra Cleveland (OG) 2.Mid Tier Free Agent 2.Brett Jones (OG)
3.Rashod Hill 3.Oli Udoh (OT) 3.Kyle Hinton(OG)
4.Rookie 4th rd 4 Rookie 3rd rd 4.Zach Bailey(OG)
5.Blake Brandel 5. Dru Samia
6,Undrafted Rookie 6.Aviante Collins
I wish the WILFS would let me run the team so sick of these dumb asses we need a championship. sh*t not that hard to figure out come on Rick! Even with limited cash it can be done obviously we would have to draft a few good ones but with limited cash the line could improve even with letting Reiff ride for cash. Stop playing favorites too and keep the best 10 regardless of because someone is a vet. Let Oli and the rookie battle with the mid tier for that last OG spot and give it to the best man to start. We can do this and still trade up with a 3rd and maybe 2 4ths to get DT in 2nd and still have mid rd picks we have alot of them. We need overkill at the OL position's to finally put the problem to bed. Doing this cutting Reiff may allow us to keep Harris too. Also cut Shamar, Rudy, Barr first I would see if Barr would reconstruct, if not keep Wilson even though he will cost more then people think.
