A consensus seems to be a combination of Cousins, Zimmer, and Spielman as the main problems with this team, which is even more cruel since the Vikings literally just extended all three in one of the most masochistic moves a team could make.
I think a consistent issue has been the o-line. the problem is drafting o-lineman is truly one of Spielman's biggest weaknesses. his other weak spot is drafting CB. so why does he keep doing it and ignoring free agency. At some point u just have to accept that a GM is good at some positions and bad at others and let them go, yet Wilf extended him.
This team really is F'd isn't it? If Kirk Cousins was going to turn the corner wouldn't it be happening now? Can anyone map out a way out of this ditch that doesn't involve firing Kirk, Rick, or Mike, which just don't seem possible for a few years?
Rick and Mike can be fired at any time,it's just a question of how long it takes for ownership to realise they screwed up.
As for Kirk, the only corner he is turning is one that leads straight off a cliff.Getting rid of him is extremely difficult because of the dead cap created, unless you could find a team to eat some of the money which would probably mean including a draft pick in the trade.
