Baloney. He skipped some stuff, he didn't "quit on the team" Miss Mel Odrama. He was docked 200 grand for skipping work, and he came back and played well the rest of the year, and this year he is doing even better with an inferior quarterback.

There is no mystery about what he was unhappy about. He was unhappy that the Vikings are losers, and that they wouldn't give him more opportunities to help them win and at least so far (the season is young) he is proving that he was right and they were wrong.

He quit on the team. He only came back because Zimmer wasn't playing his games and fined the crap out of him. And as tuned in as the Vikings beat is, why all the trade rumors? Where are all the trade rumors about everyone else? He's always been a ME guy, but the Minneapolis Miracle put that over the edge. Also, what he's doing with Buffalo proves nothing. Having Diggs isn't winning us games; and not having Diggs isn't losing Buffalo games. They'd be fine without him, and so will we, eventually...

If that's the case, then why not just have a WR or RB play QB? You're not a threat if you can't throw, so just because you can run doesn't automatically make you a "dual" (meaning 2) threat. Maybe they have dual ability, but that's all I'm giving you lol.

I would argue there's only one guy in the NFL who is truly a dual threat and that's Lamar. The other guys you mentioned are single threats who are mobile with great pocket awareness. They can use their mobility to buy themselves time or to slide away from pressure. Unlike Lamar though, they're not a threat running the ball in the open field. That's what I consider a dual threat.

And since a QB's #1 job is to throw the ball, I'd take a guy who can only throw over a guy who can only run. But running or throwing, it doesn't matter if the guy doesn't have any pocket awareness and is a head case like Cousins. He's got a ton of physical talent in that arm, but it's all wasted with that brain. Ponder was the opposite. Remember how mobile he was? A lot of good it did him. He had no pocket awareness either and couldn't throw.

All quarterbacks throw the ball. That's a given. That's how they're trying to beat you. But the ones who have to be accounted for outside the pocket? Those are dual threats. You have to worry about the damage they can do with their legs, too. Haven't you ever watched a Vikings defense? We've been getting burned by these types of quarterbacks for as long as I can remember. Your standard is too high for a "dual threat". To be a threat as a runner, you don't have to be as good of a runner as you are a passer. Settle down. Just like some RBs are threats as receivers. No, teams aren't worrying about them catching 10 balls for 150 yards every game, but yes, the defense has to account for that extra skill. See: Adrian Peterson vs. Dalvin Cook, for example. Just as with mobile quarterbacks, you have to keep a spy on them. You don't think it helps your offense that the defense has to take 1 of their 11 players to mirror the quarterback as opposed to helping with pass coverage or stopping the run?! It absolutely freaking matters. That's why I want a dual threat quarterback next round. We need that extra weapon when things break down.

The problem is, there's no evidence that suggests mobile QB's are better at winning games or filling the trophy case than non mobile QB's. In fact the evidence suggests the opposite.

The coaching staff adjusting and hiding the holes in our D and offense is the only reason we were in that game. In the end, it all comes down to talent and the Titans have more talent, so they won.

Tough to blame a loss on the QB or coaching staff when the QB played well outside of one throw and the coaching staff almost beat a potential playoff team with a completely depleted roster.
