Ruh-roh Raggy, gucci just triggered one of them.
Realistic? C'mon brah. They're getting beat up by everyone, including actual Packers fans over their questionable picks. Questionable because they were one game from the Super Bowl and had some holes to fill. They're not the Bengals and Dolphins so why are they building for the future now? They're at least 2 seasons from having to do that. They really don't think they could find a better QB project than Love in the next 2 drafts?
And maybe the fact that they've done it before is the reason why they screwed up this time? Besides, it's not the same guys who did it last time. Gutekunst and little boy LaFleur, not Thompson and Sherman. Your boy the QB whisperer McCarthy was still in San Francisco at the time as an OC, helping them draft Alex Smith #1 overall, and helping them put together one of the worst offenses in modern times before being hired by the Packers the very next year.
Wait... I thought team GMs and coaches know more then the fans or draft pundits... I guess that's only the Vikings GM and coaches... Man I have to learn how this all works. So if the Vikings get a good grade they will be great. If they get a bad grade no one knows sh*t...
Note to self
Media knows more if it's anyone other than Viking GM or coaches
Pundits know more if its anyone other than Viking GM or coaches
More to come.......
But no, here's how this works. Everyone is mainly beating up on the Packers because of what they picked and what it means to their current team, not their future team. That's not a subjective opinion, that's an objective fact. A QB and RB sitting on a bench does nothing to help or improve the team. Nobody gives a sh*t about the Packers 3 years from now lol.
You're completely ignoring the context. When you're 1 game from the Super Bowl, does it make any sense to rebuild for the future, unless you're drafting the next Peyton Manning? If Love and the RB turn out to be the next Manning, then good for them, but if they fall short again this year everyone will criticize them again for not doing more this offseason that could have helped them get over that hump.
