So it's either on to Seattle or NO next week. Either way it's going to be a short playoff run. I don't feel or see anything different today than I did last Monday night. We need to start planning to move on and make some big FUNDAMENTAL changes. I don't see any chance at winning 3 straight, on the road against BETTER teams. We haven't beat a winning team all year. These occasional Division/Wild card appearances that gives us hope, ultimately followed by a National TV leg-crapping that makes us all hate football has to change.
I've been with this team since 1967 and am exhausted. I know how it's going to end. It's just how much is it going to hurt? 41-0? Wide left? 38-7? Favre Int? Hail Mary? Nelson Drop?
I want the Wilfs to do something big that says "OK, this isn't good enough--we're going to reset. It may hurt for a year or two but we are tired of 9-7 to 11-5." Roll the dice.
Agreed. This team needs big changes to get over the next hump. I know I sound like a broken record, but until we get that franchise qb who can perform in critical games/situations I don’t think we will get to the next point. That has to be addressed to realistically turn the page in a positive direct.
