The Vikings have us right where they want us, which is low expectations. Now they'll run the table in the playoffs.

Ok it's fun to dream like a homer sometimes, but back to reality. I got the 1-and-done clock up in the sidebar so everyone knows when the 59th chapter of this sorry franchise officially comes to an end. It's assuming our wildcard game will be Saturday night, so we have to whether the storm for 11 more days. Although we kinda get a break next week with the meaningless game, that I'm 95% sure will be a loss no matter who plays. Bears already destroyed us with their bench week 4.

I would say we need to draft a QB who can be ready to start by 2021 because there's no way we can extend Cousins after next year. He'll be way too expensive with the new CBA and not worth it. Let the next team eat that mistake. But it will probably be pointless if the next QB is drafted by Rick, who doesn't know his head from his ass when it comes to QB's.

If 2020 is another hope up mediocre season, hopefully we have a new GM/HC by 2021 and I'm sure they'll want to hand select their own QB, so we could be in rebuild mode soon, and I don't know how that will affect some of our other contracts and re-signings. Enough pieces are locked up for a few years so maybe the rebuild/transition won't be too painful if the Wilfs find the right people to run the team next time.

I don't know what you see in Hughes, but as a first round pick he should be much better than he is. UDFA Holton Hill is playing better than Hughes. Alexander was too, although he seems to have regressed this year like all of our corners. This is the single biggest reason Zimmer should be fired when the time comes. This is his specialty, and we have a lot of draft capital invested in corners, but they're a dumpster fire anyway. Like I said, every single corner has regressed, except maybe Waynes, but he hasn't improved either. If it weren't for our safeties, our secondary would be complete trash.

This team, especially when led by Mike Zimmer, will never fail at one thing. Letting their fans down.

If Thomas is killing Rhodes, we can just switch the coverage up.

We are stuck with Kirk for one more year. Likely stuck with Spielman and Zimmer too. But yes I think the franchise will probably move on from all 3 after next year and turn over a huge chunk of the roster.

For the 2021 season I think all these guys will be gone:
