So it looks like we will end up the 6th seed. Although I wouldnt be shocked if the Bears beat the Packers. But i think we win out finish 12-4 and sure that will only be good enough for the 6th seed. But you know what, we get to go to Green Bay and we are head and shoulders more talented than that team. We are going to be one of the most talented 6th seed I can remember. The 2011 Giants were a 9-7 6 seed that went all the way. Sure last night hurts, but lets look at a few facts...
1. We were without Thielen for the game and Cook for the 2nd half.
2. Iv been watching the Vikings for 35 years, since I was 5, and I cant remember another team that would of taken that gut punch in the 3rd quarter and not totally folded. We fought back. We have some grit. More than a lot of past Vikings teams.
3. Maybe when our time comes it wont be in a year we dominate the whole season, get home field, win a bunch of home games and get there in a year the Super Bowl is being played in a dome and win it. Maybe it will be completely unexpected. Unless we have to go back to Seattle at some point in the playoffs I dont think we play in a tougher game than last night. Seattle is really good at home in prime time. Ill take that 6 seed, go to Green Bay get that win then to San Fran or New Orleans and take our chances. Look at it like this even the f*cking Red Sox won a World Series and you know what to break the 86 years or whatever it was of sucking they had to do something extraordinary and come back from down 0-3 to the Yankees in the ALCS. If we just keep knocking on the door, maybe we will eventually kick the son of a b*tch in. And when we do maybe it will be by doing something nobody would expect like win 3 road games in the playoffs. We got a ton of talent and we are capable of winning any game. and you know what if we do run into Seattle in the playoffs, isnt it fair to say at the minimum we have more than a puncher's chance?
This season is far from over and the story is yet to be written. Lets take a step back from the ledge.
Rhodes sucks tho... just saying... Its true. That dude needs to sit his ass down.
