You mean the team that had a 28-3 lead thanks to their rushing game? Then abandoned their rushing game and tried to “stay aggressive” and ended up giving the opponent just enough time on the clock to come back and beat them? Ya that’s a great example..... of exactly what WE are trying to say to you. They didn’t play scared.. but they didn’t play smart either and it cost them their first Lombardi trophy.
The rest of your post is just full of empty buzzwords that sound good on the surface but are ultimately meaningless. Like I said before, we are not the Patriots and teams have tried to emulate the Patriots for 20 years now, and usually fail miserably. But even those who do a decent job, ultimately fail, because being a good copy of New England is never going to be as good as being New England. Also I can’t believe you’re suggesting Kirk Cousins could be Tom Brady, come on man. With better coaching I’m sure Christian Ponder could’ve got there too, right?
The most successful teams in this league have their own identity, have their own ways of winning. They play to their own strengths, their own weaknesses and often times let the flow of the game dictate what is necessary. You keep referring to the Vikings “16th place” attitude, but last time I checked, 16th place was the WORST placement in the Zimmer era, aside from his first year. The Vikings won this game exactly how they said they wanted too, if you want to call it playing scared, I really don’t care.... We won, and it was never in any doubt that we would win. So keep crying about meaningless garbage time that had literally no effect on the outcome of the game. If it helps you sleep at night, have at it.
I understand the point just fine, thanks.
