Vikings Nipped By Lions - Who Gets The Deflated Ball?

I’m not really even that upset. I think Detroit is the worst matchup for us in all of football with their OL, steady QB, and offensive weapons. Their defense isn’t great especially without Hutch, but they compete and are probably average. Branch and Alim are big time on different levels of the defense too.

Really happy with how Sam bounced back after the INT and the game slipping away. Would’ve loved a couple more completions late of course.

I THINK we came out pretty healthy.

Proving you can continue to play with the big dogs and staying healthy are huge moral victories.

Think most fans will point to Thursday as the panic game if they don’t win. I would emphasize the AFC South is coming up on the schedule along with Arizona. Kupp being back changes a ton for LA. I still think we should win but that’s a solid team when they have Stafford and at least one of their WRs healthy.

Today was a further validation that the 24-25 Vikings are for real. Still crazy to me, as someone that thought they were better than 6.5 W/L.

Man Campbell basically spotted us a 10-0 lead and all the damn momentum with that idiotic fake punt, pumping the crowd up, and KOC basically pissed right down his leg with it. B-Flo had a bad game too, but unlike KOC, he made some adjustments in the 2nd half and got us back into it, before Kevin O'Chickensquat once again crapped the bed with a chance to put a team away, and once again relied on his DC to win a game for him.

Is this guy getting paid just to be a locker room cheerleader and head tire pumper? Does this guy do any self scouting during the bye, or is it just a 2 week long culture circle jerk?

I know I never played football beyond kindergarten, but FFS, when you're trying to soak clock, STOP running plays to the sideline.

I agree overall in totality they didn’t “struggle “. But what did happen in this game and has happened in almost every game for them so far this year is that they go through these long lulls where we go Serie’s after series of three and outs or they get one first down and that is it. Like the whole second quarter for example. I think we went three and out the whole quarter or maybe had a first down. Just an example of a trend that keeps happening. That is coaching. Stop trying to continually throw the ball down the field play after play. You don’t need huge chunk plays every down. Why not try the quick short passes and let the reciever make some plays? What about screen plays to the rb? I never see slants for 5-10 yards. Why not? These are quick should be easy passes. Make it easier on the offense. Sometimes all you need to do is move the chains. You don’t need to dagger the other team on every play.
