Darnold didn’t have a bad game but he certainly didn’t play well. He isn’t a franchise qb I think that part is obvious or should be. A great backup or lower end starter. McCarthy is obviously the future and this is supposed to be a fun year. I wish darnold could get over his indecisive ness. It’s one of his worst traits. He holds the ball too long and doesn’t make a decision quick enough. He has always been like that. Doesn’t seem like koc can coach him out of that. Koc should take some blame for this loss too. I still don’t know why every passing play has to go for 10-15 yards in the air at minimum every pass play. Why not draw up some quick slants or outs that go for 5 yards and leave the receiver do work?
Why did the Vikings acquire Aaron Jones if they weren't going to use him?
It's like the first 4 games, there was a bit of a balance with the Passing and Running game, and it was working for the Vikings.
But after that, it seemed that KOC shifted more toward the Passing aspect and less on the running.
They need to get back to pounding the rock and then some playaction passing.
Hopefully the Rams game (combined with TJ's return) this Thursday is the "get well" game for this offense.
