Credit to O'Connell, but this is lightning in a bottle. If you bet it can be replicated, that's...well, damn unlikely. That's also why it will be pretty gutsy if it continues all season and the Vikings walk away from him.

It’s not about any QB though. I mean Shanahan took a bust too. It’s about getting the right guy for your system though. Sam don’t have nothing JJ doesn’t have nothing. So it’s not unreasonable to feel he could have success.

You can’t take anyone ,but similar skill sets usually keep you hitting at a reasonable rate. It’s not we saying he can take Mullens and do that. Mullens has limitations. JJ physically can do all that’s required for n KO system.

Y’all need to stop overreacting Sam by most was seen as broken. If it was so easy to do Sam would have did it before now. At the same time be weary of a big jump 7 years in. Super jumps like that can be an aberration. So I am enjoying now and see what happens going forward.

It would be hilarious. Sam may very well do that. When it gets that time he gets his chance to prove that.

The Kirk stuff should be dead though, 11 to 3 or 4 to 4. Never been 4-0. Win the last game with no touchdowns. Kirk last game is the epitome of who he’s always been. Window dresser type who you have to watch to see because stats can lie.

You were referring to the where the SB would be held and I mistook it for the Raiders.

Vegas is a cool place to be in February but New Orleans next February would be even better since the Super Bowl is there in 2025

I think what diehardtwinsfan is saying is that Sam is not the SOLE reason we're 4-0 or the SOLE reason we are winning.

I'd say he's a reason they are winning. Sam has taken a few more risks than Kirk (both good and bad) in significantly fewer pass attempts. But the savings in part allowed Kwesi to arm Flores with Greenard, AVG, Cashman, Griffin and Gilmore.

And it allowed Kwesi to give Kevin an actual Tier 1 RB in Jones (age aside, Jones was the most productive RB in the League over his last 6 games including the Playoffs last year).

And the Vikings got all of that while still getting Tier 2 play out of Darnold for high end backup money. And frankly, I don't believe there's an actual Tier 1 QB in the NFL currently. Mahomes hasn't been himself this year with the OT issues and the injuries and suspespect nature of so many of their skill players. Allen maybe. Jackson keeps seeing 4th Quarter leads evaporate.

Cousins-level production with a higher ceiling because he can actually scramble, has a stronger arm and takes more chances. Now contrast that McCarthy having an even stronger arm, much better runner, one of the best off-platform play makers last year and is not afraid to rip the ball but in general has less turnover worthy plays. And he's going to cost a fraction of what Sam has earned for next season. It's a no-brainer.
