Offensive Line Discussion 2024

I'm not sure being the turd that floats to the top is a good argument. He was what, a second round pick?  He was going to get looks for that reason alone. Granted, the Vikings haven't replaced him, but he did show a lot of improvement last year. Unfortunately, he's back to what he was doing in the first part of 2023 as opposed to the second part. That, to me at least, is a very troubling sign. 

he's just way to up and down and the downs can wreck drives. I was all for giving him a shot to see if he made a year 3 jump but it's not happening. Idk when Risner is going to be ready but I may even give Feeney a shot at this point

Even though he’d be a starter (again) next year if you hadn’t disinvited him?  

I, for one, would take advantage of the cheap rookie contract and go hard after Trey Smith or someone of his caliber... unless they think they have his replacement on the roster already. But I'm not sure where you're going here, that's circular reasoning and makes an assumption that he wouldn't stick around as a backup.

Make no mistake, he's starting because the team has not replaced him or even tried. But with 60ish M in cap space, the team will be plugging glaring holes. I'll PPA this right now Danchat, outside of injury, Ingram will not start for the Vikings next year. The team will have a replacement for him. 

bye week is a week for self evaluation. If they do that with any level of competence they will look to replace Ingram

He. Got. Hurt. Ingram played more preseason snaps than the rest of the Starters combined. There were bodies available that Kevin chose not to use because he felt Ed needed the reps in order to improve. A good idea that hasn't worked out at all so far.

Ed Ingram might receive his walking papers during this bye week.
