I would say I am more optimistic about the 2025 outlook than 2024 personally. I don't expect Darnold to ball out or McCarthy to be more ready than expected. If either happens great, but realistically I think the ceiling of this team is a first round playoff exit, which will be fun and somewhat unexpected. The defense will be much improved, and improved in the non-blitz pass rush where it matters most. The CB room is looking a lot better too. There won't be much changes to the offense in the next few years either other than that we're going to need to spend some money on IOL help I suspect.
2025 should look a lot better with a ton of money to spend to grab several impact players at key areas of needs, another first round pick and maybe some picks from Atlanta too. Hopefully we get some development from some cheap talent like Pace, Carter, Blackmon, and a few guys that we took this year. That's the key.. cheap talent stepping up. We don't have a ton of picks in 2025, so as long as guys from 2023 (not holding out hope for 2022 guys) and 2024 step up, we can supplement them with some good signings with all that free cap in 2025 assuming McCarthy is reasonably decent.
