Why settle w/AZ or LAC picks?

that's the opposite of common sense.

My first sentence was obvious sarcasm in case you didn't get that. I don't know how you could have missed it. The rest is common sense. 

To me Caleb is superior to Lawrence and Stafford except for the odd duck thing and crying to mommy. How much do we discount him for that? 

Much of my posts regarding the QBs are sarcasm. I'm repeating what I have heard. You can't take leftovers, You can't settle for your #2. You have to identify "your guy" and do "whatever it takes to get him."

NO!!! We don't KNOW Caleb is going #1. We believe it. It's highly probable, but to KNOW something means it isn't possible to be anything else. I will stake my life that one plus one equals 2. I sure won't stake my life on Caleb going #1 overall. One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone says they KNOW something that it isn't possible to know. 

Yes teams have different opinions on QBs. 

Not Sarcasm at all. I see very little in the top 6 QBs to make me want 1 much more than another. 

99% of draft picks are settled for is about right. That's what the draft is all about. Team one takes their guy and nobody else can get him. Team 2 takes the best on their list nobody else can get him and so on and so forth. The draft is all about settling for who is available when your turn comes around. Hopefully your team is smarter than the other teams so they get good value with their selections.

Once in a while a team doesn't want to settle for who is there at their own pick so they trade up. Then they have to live with the loss of assets to do that. I would say that most people do settle for who they marry. I was happy with who I married and the marriage lasted 25 years. No regrets, but honestly if I had my choice of every woman on the planet it probably wouldn't have been her. 

This whole thesis is a vacuum proposition.

'Settling' may very well be taking Carson Beck next year as QB1 or QB2 off the Board whereas if he had come out this year he would be QB5 or QB6.

Let's look at the WRs. Rome Odunze would be WR1 in 90& of the Draft Classes in recent memory. He's going to be WR3 in this Class.

Is the Team that selects Rome (potentially the Falcons or Bears or even the Giants) settling?

Or is that Team benefiting from a deep Class? Cuz we can't apply the logic that it's stupid to trade up for Harrison, Jr when Nabers and Odunze are just about as good so why give up the capital but then turn around and say it's stupid not to trade up to #1.

And FYI, some Teams have Nabers ranked ahead of Marv. Because this isn't a vacuum and these kids don't have grades stamped in iron next to their names that every Team uses.

I would be shocked if he doesn't go #1, but I stand by it can't be KNOWN.  It can be highly probable. It can't be KNOWN. His crying to mommy thing is a possible indicator of mental illness. The stress of everything could lead to him having a breakdown. It wouldn't take him committing murder to drop. He could get in an accident that leaves him crippled. Many, many possible ways he doesn't go #1 and all it takes is one.
