Let's move right on along to the next spot u heard me! WR is one of our strong spots. Two FA's right in the middle of our depth though. Strong at the top and after that guys who may need to step up to complete things.
Currently Under Contract:
1. Justin Jefferson, 25yrs- I can't even explain what he means to us. Pay him only needed 10 games for a 1,000 and left one of them games early. Jump on my back type of talent.
2. Jordan Addison, 22yrs- I was high on him coming out and he delivered. Needs to add strength, more of a strong #2 than a #1. But no problem that what JJ is for.
3. Jalen Nailor, 25yrs- I see flashes but he been getting hurt. This year will be a big opportunity for him if he can stay healthy.
4. Trishton Jackson, 26yrs- The next 3 around the same. Wil list him 4th off having at least a catch and flashing other camps.
5. N'Keal Harry, 26yrs- Former high pick of the Patriots. Has size will have to show to stay.
6. Lucky Jackson, 27yrs- Was active the last game.
7. Malik Knowles, 23yrs- Spent season on IR from a college injury. Very intrigued by him and he can also PR. We stashed him all year hopefully we keep him and see what he has at this level. Sleeper Alert
8. Thayer Thomas, 26yrs- Stayed on PS has return ability.
FAs:
1.K.J. Osborn, 27yrs- Was worth a 5th round pick. Has reached his ceiling but that is okay overachieved.
2.Brandon Powell, 28yrs- Nice little player. Would love him back fighting for that 3/4 spot and PR value is a bonus for cheap.
Okay I don't see Kirk doing a one year deal so I would take him for 1 year at 30, Two years or more is to long I only want to sit the QB one year unless he ready. Two is two long so lets assume he already gave me that news so lets move on.
At WR I would bring back Powell and look for a solid guy in later rounds like the 5th or later. Again I am working off a 35 million start. With the 3 million added on from cutting Kene and Mullens. Even though I would consider keeping Mullens since I moved off Cousins. For now subject to change I will say I cut him so we would have 38 million at this second. Obviously other moves to come and the 38m just from a before moves perspective. The lineup example so far
QB-1. FA Minshew/ Brissett, 2.Rook (early), 3.Hall. Maybe a Hall/Mullens battle, but right now I'm leaning cutting Mullens and grabbing that 2m for other stuff. That thought could change as I shape it.
RB- 1.Chandler, 2. Rook (with some size mid rounds) 3.Mattison, 4.Ham (FB) then all the rest.
WR- 1.JJ, 2.Addison, 3.Powell, 4. Nailor, 5 and 6 spots, a battle between a late round rook, the 2 Jacksons, and Harry and all the rest whoever want it and take it.
Wr is a spot that a bargain guy could pop up on free agency so keep a eye out for a cheap add from FA to the 5/6 roster battle. Thats where I am so far.
