If the prospects are so good that it’s worth it to move up or take a player themselves then there will absolutely be more taken.
If Kirk sucks as much as he does why on earth would Atlanta sign him coming off an Achilles when they can draft the future of their franchise for a decade right where they are and have him on a cheap rookie deal for years.
Chicago is either taking Caleb or they are going to get a haul of picks to let him go. My money is on them taking him.
We can get a game changing defender at our spot and then go get JJ and spend the rest on interior linemen and secondary.
It's obvious you don't study the Draft. Like at all. There isn't one single Blue Chip Defensive Prospect in this Draft. WRs, QBs, LTs, yes. Defenders? No. So a 'game changing defender' simply isn't going to happen.
And I don't think Atlanta signs Kirk. I think they trade for Fields. They love to run the ball and he compliments that to a T.
When you say JJ I think you're referring to McCarthy, right? I absolutely love the kid. But he needs to sit for a year. I just don't think he's available where Minnesota picks in the 2nd.
But I actually love the plan you have IF they can pull it off. While there isn't a true Blue Chip Defender this year Dallas Turner and Jared Verse are very good players with high floors. But you probably need to get up to near the top of the 2nd to get McCarthy.
Round 1 Edge + McCarthy > Penix + Round 2 Edge, IMO. I'm really down on the depth of this Edge class. Outside of Trice and Braswell I don't like anyone besides Turner, Verse and Latu, and I'm not that high on Latu.
What do you think about the Ohio state edge rusher Tuimalou I believe how you pronounce it? I’ve only seen highlights of him. A few draft sites I visit have him as a solid second round pick. Is he more of a fire in the 3-4 or 4-3? I like Trice but I think he fits more as a 4-3 edge. I don’t think Turner fits as a 4-3 edge he is too small definitely a 3-4 only edge.
