Drank, I’m with you on wanting to move on from cousins and also not wanting to pay him what he wants. Having said that all this daily news on Kirk is mostly media driven like funky said. Like it or not cousins is the highest profile player for this free agency period. And on top of it, what’s clear is that his agent and himself are great at negotiating contracts. The dancing on stage stuff and all the other public stuff he has been doing for the cameras is being done for a reason. He is trying to stay in the spotlight and keep his high profile. It’s negotiating season for his agent. The more people talk about him and media puts stuff out about him, it’s a tactic for keeping high profile and keeping the contract price/demand up. For example the source florio was talking about that was close to kirk was his wife. It was florio wife talking to Kirk’s wife. That is how the stuff about Kirk looking at schools in Atlanta. It’s all to get info out as part of negotiating tactics. It’s brilliant when you think about it. All the other stuff coming out too. He likes Minnesota and probably wants to stay and finish his career here, but Vikings have a line drawn in the sand. Kirk wants specific guarantees. He is using the media to try to plot the Vikings against falcons in negotiations. He is trying to get the Vikings to move the line in the sand more in his favor.
