no offense but you have been pushing this narrative since last year and are using Dobbs comments as ammo to back it up
Perhap from re-reading my post, it could be construed as somewhat critical of the current Viking's regime and their ability to get the Viking's organization over the "hump of mediocrity" that I have often referred to. If that's the case, I still currently have the opinion that the current regime hasn't shown that ability quite yet, and now that the organization is seemingly going in a slightly different direction (ie, building around a highly-drafted QB on a rookie-scale contract), I found it interesting that an intelligent/journeyman QB who has been in multiple organizations in the NFL chose to publicly comment on the infrastructure of his new team (49ers) without mentioning the one he was just at (Vikings), which by many national and local sports journalists/experts, allegedly has a great infrastructure for fostering consistency and QB development. Dobbs didn't directly be critical of Minnesota, the coaching staff or the Front Office with the recent comments, but sometimes you can glean something out of what an individual doesn't say.
Here's a popular online image of what I was thinking when reading Dobbs' comments about how "great" the 49ers organization/infrastructure is. Imagine Dobbs is the guy in that image and the current girlfriend in the blue top is the Vikings organization as well as the national & local sports media pundits. Dobbs' is clearly infatuated with the lady in the red dress (ie, 49ers) while the rest of the NFL world, including the Vikings and the media, are saying ,"...Uh, what are we? Chopped liver?"
If we still had Kirk for another year or two, Dobbs' comments would probably not register anything, but seeing as how the organization will now be leaning on the offensive coaching staff to develop the 2024 drafted QB and building around him to get this team to Valhalla, it's interesting that a guy who's been in the Viking's organization is seemingly looking at someone else while walking down the street...
