Given the power Payton has and the fact that they are lacking in draft capital (because they wisely traded a 1st and a 2nd just for him to be the HC), I could see it happen. Payton wants a pocket passer, not a improviser like Wilson.

Because we're not getting one of the top 3 QBs and if we take #4-5-6 we'd have to get very lucky for him to be good.

Love how people try and spit on historic achievements I don't remeber the DEN game buit the IND game we know what happened receievers made bad mistakes that lead to TOs. Every QB falls behind sometimes why? BECAUSE QBs do not play Defense Believe it or not QBs do not play defense. Burrow has played the same as Kirk in the playoffs but Burrow defenses give up 18ppg and Kirk defenses give up 28 ppg in playoffs. I hope you can understand how football works.

I'd rather the Vikings not outbid for Kirk's services... he's way too expensive... Now perhaps his market is being overstated right now and he's only going to get in the 20M range. That I can get behind, but even then I'm not sure I want him for multiple years. We've been kicking this QB can down the road way too long. Kirk for a year in 2024 at a reasonable price is fine by me with a successor lined up for 25... Otherwise, get the successor and sign a cheaper bridge.
