I'm starting to think KO flips coins about the weekly quarterback decisions, because they certainly couldn't have been made with logic. And I'm also 100% certain his favorite footwear is a pair of flip-flops.
what did he see Dobbs do exactly? Running around and making crazy plays isn't something that's sustainable or something to build around an offense around. How do you build an offense around Dobbs? The standard answer has been "roll him out" or run more "rpo" type plays. Sounds awesome. You know who else knew that? The Bear Bronco and Raider defenses. You know why RPO stuff works with QBs like Lamar and Hurts? Because they can actually do the P part in the RPO and Dobbs can't. He's not accurate and on more than one occasion he got KJ and JJ knocked out of games. If there was some sort of baseline of Dobbs effectively running an offense anywhere else I might would agree with the KOC criticism but you could say some of the better games Dobbs had were here. My only complaint with the handling of the backup QBs is not leaning more into the running game and that imo is on KOC and Kwesi for not doing more in the offseason either from a personnel or scheme perspective
