Who will make themselves team Captain? Will we blow the coin flip?

Hey now! That's our plan!
Oh man! Mullens would've helped them double their total! Whew!
I love seeing Packers fans like this! I guess their cockiness walked right out the door with Rodgers?
Good.

Two teams fighting to stay in contention for a wildcard slot. Loser has the slimmest of odds if not being outright eliminated. Can the Packers defense carry their weight for a whole game? Will the upstart offense crumble under the spotlight of Sunday night football? Who will return from injury and who will get injured in practice this week?

Alexander suspended. I think he's TRYING to be gone.
Where there is smoke there is fire. He is driving the World Series trophy around the parking lot at this point.
I think the Packers have been covering for him for weeks over the entire shoulder thing (Christmas miracle he was suddenly well enough to play in his hometown), but when a guy just trots himself out to make the coin call for the heck of it and it becomes a story, either you take action or you put yourself in a position to look like anyone can do anything at any time. Wouldn't be shocking if this was the last time we saw him in a Packers uniform. Next week it will be more shoulder stuff.
Bad enough the JB thing is out there making it look like MLF has no control.

If you are correct and JA will be gone this offseason and he returns to his All-Pro level of play for his new team I'll be pissed and not at him. I'll be unhappy that MLF allowed that side of the ball to become such a mess by sticking with a nincompoop at DC that one of his best players revolted making it impossible to keep him around and he had to be shipped off to another team.
Regarding who is starting at QB:
I hope it is not Mullens.
The Vikings play with intensity. So we have to match that. And I hope we don't try calling plays over the crowd noise. Maybe just one or two hand signals with a receiver or RB. Try and keep it simple and execute. and I hope we see fewer end arounds to the W/O and fewer 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage passes. Just fewer.
The Vikings offense is a joke. Vikings fans were convinced that Dobbs was the answer. Every purple fan that I talked with thought that I was insane for suggesting that Dobbs may be a flash in the pan, once defenses figured out his scrambling. Dobbs imploded quickly. Mullins sucks too. They really have no options and no offense, and that was before losing TJ Hockenson last week.
Our offense will likely struggle against their defense, but their offense will struggle and bumble even worse against ours. I predict an easy victory for our team.

All they have to do is run, run, run. Make easier 3rd downs and throw it on 3rd and 2 to the wide open guy on third down. They may be a crappy, but, our defense has looked TERRIBLE against crappy teams!
Why it is important for the Packers to try to force them into as many 3rd and 30s as possible.
I knew they'd be down on their defense.
Our defense has made worse offenses look like world beaters (see NYG and Panthers games). I don't see this as an easy victory at all, especially in Minneapolis.
Our D has allowed conversions on 3rd and long before. We have to outscore them by not turning the ball over and committing stupid penalties.
Hey now! That's our plan!
It's going to be up to the offense to win this game. Don't turn the ball over, no drive killing penalties, control the clock as much as you can and put points up. I have zero confidence in this defense. Best we can hope for is get turnovers, but expecting that from a team that has six interceptions in 15 games might be a stretch too.
Oh man! Mullens would've helped them double their total! Whew!
The Vikings are starting their rookie QB, Hall.
I'd say this is good, but this defense just made that High School QB in NY look like an All Pro.
So we shall see.

Hall could end up being dog meat, or he could end up looking like Mayfield did last week. (I'm trying to forget last week for obvious reasons)
It depends on which Packer defense shows up. The one that barely belongs in the NFL, or the one that doesn't even belong on a 6-8 year old kids flag football team.

I'd put money on the Packers defense making Jaren Hall look like the second coming of Tom Brady.
I see reality setting in on Sunday. Packers “defense” will make Jaren Hall become the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Week. Hope I’m wrong.
So, hard for me to get excited about this one. I really want them to beat MN, but it's hard for me to see them doing it. Not sure the disconnect from the Lions and Chiefs games, but it appears the plane has crashed into the mountains. It's a toxic environment right now and changes need to be made in the offseason. My mind is kind of already in the offseason.
MN still has something to play for. Yes, GB does too, but they just can't seem to rally together. The defense is such a liability. I think someone mentioned to just run it on 1st and 2nd down and then see if Hall can convert in short yardage. That's exactly what I would do. This defense is embarrassingly bad. The way they have played lately has just been pathetic. The most telling thing to me about this defense is the lack of turnovers. One of the big reasons they beat the Lions and the Chiefs was big turnovers. They are 31st in the league in interceptions. They have 6 on the season. Only team worse is the Titans at 4. They are also 23rd is sacks, which builds the case that they can't get strip sacks. Something they did against the Lions. With the lack of ability to take the ball away and get after the QB, I feel like it will be more of the same. Painful to watch when MN has the ball regardless of who their QB is.
On the flip side, MN has actually played pretty solid defense. They are 12th in the league in yardage given up and 10th in points allowed. They can get after the QB a bit too with being ranked 12th in sacks as well. They're middling in pass defense but pride themselves on stopping the run. They are 9th in the league in stopping the run. They did have some injuries on defense and namely DJ Wonnum. MN's beat reporter said he's a huge loss on run defense.
I really hope I'm wrong, but I see a loss here. MN's defense will slow the Packers down just enough and Justin Jefferson will have a career day. MN 30 GB 21.

The short time he had to step in against us when we were down by 14 he went 3-4 for 23 yards. He was sacked once and fumbled. This week he will have time to prepare. The Packers squandered several 4th quarter chances to tie the game. After the blocked FG the Vikings tried to use clock when they got the ball back. O'Connell will have a plan for him. He may not be able to see the whole field and deliver perfect strikes like Cousins but he can bide time and take what the D gives him ( which could be a lot ). He does not necessarily have to go long. The Viking receivers are talented enough to run after the catch.
If MLF allows Joe Barry to call a defense that allows Jaren Hall to win a must win game. That would be extremely embarrassing to say the least.
I wonder if the NFL now regrets not flexing this game out of SNF with the rookie Hall now starting for MN…?
Not with the rookie single game passing rookie about to fall!
470+ yards should be no problem!
I love seeing Packers fans like this! I guess their cockiness walked right out the door with Rodgers?
Good.
Like many, I have low expectations for our D. I'll be stunned if they don't allow >25 points.
Meanwhile, I feel like our offense is ascending, especially if Reed and/or Watson return. They should score >20 for sure.
Ultimately, I will predict a Vikes win. But I'm using reverse psychology. So we'll see where that takes us.

I think this is the week our defense absolutely shuts the Vikings down.
I also think this is the week our offense struggles a bit more.
But I predict GB 20 and MN 13

1. Objectively, there isn’t much good to say about the D.
2. Since we are facing a rookie QB, we will likely give up 250+ passing yards.
3. i will be very interested in how Love does against a very good passing defense.
4. It would be nice to have Reed, Wicks, and Watson.

Viking fans already complaining about "The Refs" " 4th QB" "Jefferson missing time" Screw them! I gotta pick of a bottle of Grape Crush this week!
We need to beat the vikings by more than 14 points, this weekend, since they own the tiebreaker. That, of course, is if we are tied at the end of the season. Something tells me that the vikings aren't done losing. Hoping that the Packers aren't done winning.
Wishing bad things against vikings is ok after all their fans mocked AR when Barr broke Rodgers collarbone on purpose. Screw them and their fans
Sounds about right. Don’t matter who the opposing QB is, 30 + burger is getting served.
Geez, I hate late games especially 8pm. And its NY Eve....Hopefully we will avoid the sweep.
Just win, if by one point, so be it. JUST WIN DAMN IT. ♥️ 💚 💛
That 1st Vikings game the Pack had was so bad, I wasn’t even upset. The Vikes were just so much better, I just sort of began to dismiss the Packers from doing anything substantial this year.
While I don’t think the Vikes could have ever won the Super Bowl this year, I could have seen them maybe making it to NFC Championship game if Cousins and some other key guys had stayed healthy.
I think the Pack’s offense has improved quite a bit and defense has gotten at least slightly worse since that time. I think with no Cousins we can hang with these guys. He really looked great against us last time and we probably would have faired no better this time, but we’re getting a huge break by not having to face him.
I’d like to think Love and the offense can keep this respectable unlike last time, but if the Vikes force a turnover or 2 it could get ugly.

This is the type of game where many Packer fans expect it to be a struggle or even a loss... and then GB goes out there and kicks the sh*t out of them.
Watching the Lions- vikings rebroadcast and saw Wonnum injure his knee on that turf. Non contact injury, on their turf, ended Wonnum's season. At least their turf is getting replaced for next season, but injuries are always something to worry about when we play there.
Addison and Jefferson could do a lot of damage, even if Jaire was playing. You have to pick your poison with those two. Overall, GB's receivers are better as a group by a little bit, but those two are probably the most dynamic pair in the league. If the Vikings had Hockinson, you'd have to favor them to win.
Here's what I'm afraid will happen: Barry won't put pressure on Hall and dares Hall to make completions by playing a soft zone all day. Hall just keeps tossing it in the direction of Jefferson and Addison -- along with a few TE/RB tosses and just enough runs to keep the D honest -- for chunk gainers and major TOP. They spend a large part of the day on GB's half of the field.
To counter, GB's offense needs to have long, sustained drives, which has not been a consistent strength on O, and get TDs, not FGs, in the red zone. On D, try to limit the Vikings' offense to FGs when they inevitably spend a large chunk of time in the GB red zone; add in a miracle and one missed FG by MN, and GB wins.

Jaren Hall will be the next Viking "QB Savior". For a week, anyway.
He'll go nuts and most of the Vikings fans will wash his balls for a week. Then they will come crashing back to earth after the Loins 2nd stringers beat them in the finale nod.
We're screwed. If the defense plays as usual against a no name qb, they will put him in the record books.
Look on the bright side. No matter how well Hall plays, we can add a 6th QB to the list of those who have had their best game of the year against the Packers.
Thoughts on their thoughts?!?!
