There are definitely personnel issues on the team. No question. But we have been playing marginal teams for several weeks and all of these losses were definitely winnable. And the thing that has been costing us is that the coach has not been putting the team into positions that favor success. They are absolutely coaching related issues.

Now- if you want to discuss if we have enough talent to consistently hang with teams like SF, Dallas or Cincy now that’s a situation where I would definitely agree with you.

He would have built a team around him. Like Detroit is doing with Goff, Dallas is doing with Dak and SF is doing with Mr Irrelevant.

3 minutes left in the game with a big lead and Detroit scores again. That’s a mentality that the Vikings don’t have.

lol no one has ever had success building around cousins. Harbaugh is much smarter than trying to run it back around him. I think that’s the main reason harbaugh seemed like a lock for the job then all of a sudden it didn’t happen after he met ownership. They had their “super competitive” plan in place and it’s not how he would have moved forward. It’s not how anyone that would want to build a true contender would move forward.

Spend the extra cap space to build up the roster and move forward with a rookie contract qb with some talent. It’s 4 years overdue this offseason but it’s related to the real issues I pointed out. That’s why no coach could legitimately raise our ceiling to a sb contender is we haven’t been smart with our roster construction. That includes overpaying at the qb position for years when the roster wasn’t ready to win.

Even if the issue was not hiring harbaugh that still comes down to decision making outside of who the hc is anyways. That’s the real issue whether or not you think koc is also a problem.

Yes he had QBs on much cheaper contracts while building up top of the league defenses around them. That’s part of the point of moving on from the bloated cousins contracts to build up the roster I keep mentioning lol. If he wanted to go the same path again we would have done a cheap qb option while he got our defense to that type of level most likely as I have been saying. The wilfs would never go for that and he wasn’t hired. I feel like you are only helping my case. Again either way the reason he wasn’t hired comes down to ownership/gm. No matter how you slice it that is what fans should really be upset about but never are for some reason.

With the route we ended up going Vegas has had us at 9.5 wins last year and we ended up with 13. Then we went into this season expected to win 8.5 and despite losing cousins and JJ for extended time among others and leading the league or close to it in bad luck, turnovers and drops we still are headed toward that type of win total. As you admit yourself even Andy Reid wouldn’t have this team as a real contender. Koc has flaws no doubt but he is far from the main issue as I keep saying. We need to at least give him a chance with a young qbotf to see if he can mold him. He got more out of cousins last season than anyone ever seemingly has. Same with Dobbs right when he got here. Even mullens I believe has only lead an offense to this type of output 2 other times and that’s with 16 starts with shannahan. It seems worth seeing what he can do with a young talented rookie given all of that imo before moving on. That we haven’t given him the opportunity falls on ownership/gm (as do most of our real issues).

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised some people want to get a new regime and run it back with cousins though. It worked so well this time around.
