Now Purdy ensures that people will be looking for that Coup de Ville in a Crackerjack box at least until the 2040s.
Just being on Saturday makes it unsettling all by itself - Vikings always seem unpredictable (well, even more than usual) on games that aren't played Sundays.

I don't get all the negativity around giving Hall a run. This is not, I repeat, NOT a SB-caliber team! The absolute worst thing that could happen would be we improve our draft position, that's the worst.

At the very least, he should be elevated to the #2 ahead of Dobbs, because we know the latter is a guaranteed loss.....even if it does hurt his feelings.

From Hall's collegiate tape, we know he's accurate, mobile, strong-armed, has good field vision, keeps his eyes downfield under pressure, can throw on the run, and has good pocket awareness, what exactly is the downside of at least trying to see what we have in him and if he can replicate any of his collegiate success?

Oh, wait...the Wilfs might lose out on some ticket sales if the team flounders down the stretch...Stupid me...What was I thinking!

And BTW, how did the last regime's early evaluation of Jake Browning work out? He only set a completion % record for a QB's first 3 starts, completing over 75% of his passes. And it's not like they were all checkdowns, he's thrown for 924 yards over that span.

IMO, Hall brings elements that neither Dobbs or Mullens possess with his field vision (Dobbs), and his mobility (Mullens).

I'm NOT proclaiming Hall to be anything, period, not Jake Browning, and sure as hell not Tom Brady! I'd just like to see what we have in him, and what better time to do it than in a season that's nothing short of a total loss.

Wrong. The worst thing that can happen is that O'Connell puts in a Rookie 5th Round Draft Pick that absolutely nobody rated as a higher graded player at the most important position on the Team and he promptly goes out and humps the bunk.

And in the process pisses off the DC who infamously hates tanking, the Elite Edge playing his ass off while not under contract for next year, JJ, and the youngsters like Pace and Metellus that have bought into the culture. All well shattering Hall's confidence and all but insuring that the Vikings need to spend another late Round Pick on a QB2 of the future.

I'll say it again. They worked their asses off to recover from 1-4 and Cousins and JJ going down as well as a slew of other injuries. They deserve to be rewarded by seeing their Leader play the guy that gives them the best chance to make the Playoffs.
