The Coaching Staff sees all 3 QBs in practice day in and day out and have consistently made Hall QB3.
Its also just how it has played out, Hall had his shot and got knocked out unfortunately. Neither Dobbs or Hall would have gotten a start if Mullens was never hurt. Hall goes down, Dobbs strikes lightning in ATL , Mullens comes back before Hall and takes his spot back. Hall was obviously never meant to even sniff the field this year with Kirk being here. I guess well see whose QB2 Saturday assuming Mullens starts. They may give Dobbs the nod as courtesy since Kevins just a nice guy and Dobbs looked like he lost his dog afterwards.
Except he didn't 'get his shot'. Mullens was on IR but Cousins never gets hurt so why carry another QB?
But then Cousins does get hurt and they're caught with their pants down and have no choice but to play Hall. As soon as Hall is healthy again, and with Dobbs in town and Mullens healthy, he's straight back to QB3.
Purdy probably did look good in practice but Shanahan got Lynch to give up a ton to move up to get him, forcing them to give him an extended look despite Purdy likely looking better in practice.
Meanwhile, Dobbs is late and can't hit the broad side of a barn. Likely in practice too. Mullens hasn't played in over a year. And Hall is STILL QB3.
Folks can't have it both ways. If you trust O'Connell to develop the QBOTF you can't also think he's wrong on thinking Hall isn't ready yet.
Purdy and Brady are a less than 1% outcome. Less than 1%. Do you really want Kevin to flush what the Defense has done down the drain to see if Hall is the next less than 1% success story?
If you truly believe that, Jay Ward should start over Harrison Smith and Cine should start over Metellus. Gotta see what the Teamn has in those guys too, right?
