Mullens is the starter, what more do you want? My points is that "knowing the offense" isn't the most important factor, being the best quarterback is. I hope Mullens is that guy, because he is our starter this week.
If he sucks and is replaced by Hall who does well are you gonna kiss my butt? I didn't think so. You didn't after claiming KO was going with Dobbs all the way and...how'd that turn out?
I believe I said his intention, at that moment, was to go with Dobbs the rest of the way. Just like it was Cousins before that. Of course that could change, but at that moment, he absolutely had every intention on him and Dobbs continuing the great story.
After time to reflect during the bye, that's what he believed (or should have believed, because why else do it?). He was confident (clearly over-confident) in himself and Dobbs. That worked out really well, didn't it?
And as I said, I actually wish Dobbs was QB2 this week, because now it just looks like KO put his feelings for Dobbs and the cutesy would-be underdog story ahead of the team and winning. As I said last night, that's a huge blunder, and, quite frankly, the biggest red flag yet.
And, yes, it does appear that knowing the offense is the most important factor here. How else would you explain Hall being QB2 all of the sudden, after never sniffing it before the injuries? It's because we're in the hunt, and knowing the offense is key. Well, I said that to begin with. lol. Mullens, Mullens, Mullens...
Dobbs had to play out of necessity, not necessarily preference. I also said that Day 1. When it was clear he was struggling and overwhelmed, KO should've gone back to Mullens. KO is slow to accept reality, but at least he got there before we foolishly threw another game or two away due to just plain stubbornness.
FTR: this thread title shouldn't say does it matter? Being how the rest the league played out recently we moved from 7th to 6th seed after a lose then held on to our 6th with a win. Weird year and they all matter.
