Do we care? Or are we as fans just waiting for April?

It will tell us how well AP and Bo can coach. It should also answer other questions, such as: Will they take the training wheels off O’Connell? Will the running game get going again? Will coverage units struggle without Peters? Will Facyson ever come off IR? And do we simply lack the talent to compete for 4 quarters?

We're waiting to see if Mark acts like Al and waits until all the good GM/HC candidates are gone and then starts his search.

I’m just glad that this is a home game so I don’t hear the Viking horn every time the Vikings score or do something good.

Dobbs had like 5 turnovers their last game. So of course he'll have 5 TDs this game.

I thought we had the talent to win the first 2 games that we play with AP as coach and thought we were heavily outmatched the last 2. Things went as I expected. This week is where we start to figure out where we are at. Outside of the Chiefs, we are on par talent wise with a lot of the teams. It will show what kind of coaching we have here and will test the QB as well.

Watching this game is brutal knowing we could have had Jefferson instead of Ruggs, and Darrisaw instead of Leatherwood. Just unreal how badly Gruden f*cked up those drafts.

One more one thing I want to see from AP. For my entire lifetime and before, the Raiders were top 5 in penalties, no matter the players, home city, coach, or even owner. This year, we're top 5 FEWEST.

I'd like Maxx to sit this game out. Why risk the injury? Dude plays way too snaps as is, and is the only cornerstone defensive player. Hell shut him down for a few games.

It has to be pretty serious for him to be out too. Maybe best to shut these guys down. We aren't going anywhere. Let's start auditioning guys for roster spots next season.

The Vikes are playing really good D. Yes, they lost their last game to Chicago but did not give up a TD in doing so. It is their offense that has been inconsistent.

Dobbs has looked good in spots like he might be the answer after this year and at other times has been a turnover machine.

Make no mistake about it, the Raiders will have to play a really good game to win this one. Both teams are fighting for their playoff lives down the stretch. Vikings path is an easier one being in the NFC and with a better record. But I think both teams go into this game thinking it is a must win.

Should be a really good game.

Raiders need to be aggressive on both sides of the ball. The D needs to produce pressure on whoever is behind center and get a turnover or two.

Vikings are a top 10 D against the run. A conservative game plan will most probably play into into the Viking's strength. Raiders will need their OL to play better and AO4 needs to sling the rock. Sticking with running the ball on first downs is most likely going to make the offense's ability to move the ball an uphill battle.

This is a game against a beatable opponent that AP probably has to win to keep momentum for the job candidacy. The Raiders have lost two in a row and another loss and things could snowball and those first two wins will feel like an eternity ago.

Agree, it is a must win for the Raiders and well, several people in the organization. The Vikings have lost two in a row also, and the stakes are high on both sides. This definitely has the making for a really good game.

And agree, while the losses to Miami and KC can be discussed and rationalized, a three game losing streak, not so much. AP does need this one.

Raiders should look at this game like it's the start of the playoffs.

Once you lose....it's on to next year.

Imo AP needs to win every game left but KC. If he loses one on the run up to KC he better win at KC. (highly unlikely)

Like every season, we have those why couldn't we win that game (we would have been well positioned in the standings) and also the why did we win that worthless game (because of the tank/draft positioning). Unfortunately for us, the latter is predominant.

Yes, the Viking's offense has been highly inconsistent. But they did go on a good run and won 5 in a row including a win over SF.

The Vikings D has been really good. They started the year out poorly but have sorted things out and thus the run. But Dobbs has been a turnover machine in the last couple of games and the Vikes are now suffering a two game losing streak much like the Raiders.

I think both teams need this win. Neither team can afford a three game losing streak for various reasons. Should be a really good game.

And yes, I do think the Raiders have a chance in this one, but do think the Raiders will have to play very well in all three phases of the game to win.

Raiders D needs to manufacture some turnovers and keep their scoring to a minimum, because I doubt the Raiders offense puts up a lot of points against their D.

A tad surprised they are staying with Dobbs. I thought possibly the Vikes would use the bye week as an opportunity to go back to Hall given Dobbs' performance in the last two games.

That said, Dobbs has had some good games early when coming in. Some very good games. Hopefully, we get the Dobbs that has played in the last two games and not the one that came off the bench and wreaked havoc.

Winning does nothing, because we won't beat the Chiefs, and we aren't making the playoffs. We are better off not winning another game and getting a top 5 pick.

Ah yes, so they could draft another Tyree Wilson...

If Maxx plays I feel like we can will this game.
As far as it not meaning anything I think AP and the whole staff, Champ, and all the players strongly disagree it doesnt matter.
If this team can win the next 4 out of 5 AP likely leeps his job as does most of the staff.
They could go in to the offseason knowing exactly what they need for next year and get some traction.
Let see what they do, because high draft picks mean nothing to a team that is as bad at drafting as we are.
If they have a QB they want, they can trade up for him.

If there was ever a game Wilson could flash anything, it’s this one as if they can get sustained pressure on Dobbs, they will have a chance to sneak out a win.

That QB list proves that OCs are afraid to play real football and throw the ball behind the LBs, a reflection that QB play in the NFL is as bad as it has ever been under the current passing rules and the current crop of college QBs offers little to no hope that they will be any better.

QBs need stacked rosters to succeed. Raiders roster isn't stacked and hasn't been since their last Super Bowl game.

Vikings game is a coin flip. Vikings defense is far superior to Raiders defense, which after benching CB Peters is currently on a 3-31 negative game score run.

Odds are the defense will continue that 3-31 run unless the Vikings offense craps its pants.

Shut Maxx down for the season. It know he would fight, but someone needs to step up and tell him its best for both he and the team.

No, he needs to be evaluated by medical professionals, they need to be knowledgeable and they need to provide the team and Maxx the results of the evaluation. Then Maxx and the team need to do what is being advised. Maxx does not need to be shut down in any other way. We are fans, we do not know the extent of the progress or regression from the injury, the chance of further injury and the long term effects of the injury.

This is how it works, we get good medical staff and they do their job and we stay the f*ck out of it.

If the Raiders want even a bit of respect; if they want even a shot at the playoffs; and if AP wants even a shot at the head coaching job, they need to win this game. This is a game they can win. This is a game they should win.
