Take out our anger on the Vikings.

I don't remember the last time they won in Minnesota. This feels like another game they could lose despite no Jefferson.

I just looked it up, it's this game:

Primetime Kirk Cousins will be out in full force.

That just means a Vikings no name WR will have 200 yds receiving and 3 TDs.

No CMC and Deebo. Mitchell never does much anymore. So we are down to Mason. Man this is going to turn into a dogfight. I still think the 49ers, the offense and Purdy will play better. The Vikings defense isn't as good. No wind, wet, cold or rain. It's indoor in a dome. We should be OK. But this will be a tougher fight though than people are thinking.

Road game. Prime time. Vikings backs against the wall needing wins badly. They're not just gonna bend over.

That said, their running game has struggled, and Kirk has had issues against our D.

They won't have Jefferson and that'll hurt them a bit, but we should put up at least 24 IMO. Gut tells me more bogus penalties keep it close, but we pull away.

The last time we won in Minnesota Roger Craig averaged 8 yards per carry...... for the Vikings.

Worst part of the losing streak in Minnesota.. we've had some strange losses. The Christian Ponder game, Jimmy's 3 pick game in week 1 2018 (our first week 1 10am game in 18 years at that point), the Favre to Greg Lewis miracle when our secondary shat the bed.

Rookie kicker so mistakes are bound to happen. For a team hoping to win the SB, this is a weak link. Playoffs are all about making those last drive high pressure kicks.
Dont know how the team overcomes this, because "experience" takes time, it's not an overnight fix.

Do the VIKES PLAY a lot of man or zone? I want us to shut down the theory that we cant beat man D. I keep hearing that teams now have the blueprint to beat Brock…

Brian Flores (MIN DC) is known for a blitz heavy scheme with high man coverage (in comparison to other NFL teams).

I will be at this game wearing 49ers overalls and a Jason mask. The Niners better make that stadium camp crystal lake.

The Vikings have been extremely aggressive under defensive coordinator Brian Flores, blitzing at a rate of nearly 50% or higher in five of six games. The only game they sat back – kind of – was in Week 4 when they blitzed Bryce Young 30.8% of the time.

But again, Purdy isn't making the big mistake. He has yet to throw an interception this season while under duress.

Niners haven't covered the spread against Vikings since early 2000s I think.

I don't think these streaks are as relevant as Jim Schwartz's was versus Kyle, but it's odd AF, when the Giants nearly won twice there last season!

2018 the Vikings were much better and we weren't quite as good and still made it a game.

This streak should end, but it makes me more nervous than a random divisional game.

3 point win vs this team would be pretty crap, I fully expect a get right game, meaning beatdown.

Prepare to be disappointed. Not saying it can't turn out that way, but I just watched the preview clip that gets put out before every game, by the NFL I think. Apparently, the Vikings have been playing pretty well on defense and were doing okay on offense before Jefferson went down. The important thing is that they come away with the win, whether it's by 3 or 30 doesn't make much difference to me. Though 30 would probably be more entertaining.

I'm not impressed with the Vikings beating a crap Bears team, they're gonna face a pissed off team especially on the offensive side of the ball. My concern comes being on the road in MIN and that turf.

Would really like to see Kyle hook Purdy up with a career game. It's amazing how fast everyone who doesn't believe in Purdy wanted to trash him after the last game. Relabel him as a game manager instead of looking at the game and his stats for the season. But that's fine. Everything I read from Purdy screams that he does not care about that at all. He still has a roommate. He's only making 1 million this year and he just wants to win. I just really hope he has another statement game in the next couple of weeks.

I don't want to hear that friggin horn blow too much. It sounds like the one in War of the Worlds.

If we are [underestimating the Vikes], we shouldn't be.

Brian Flores has their defense playing well. He learned under Hoodie. He checks all the boxes. I heard a podcast yesterday about how he is unpredictable - doesn't follow patterns. The Vikes have quality at all three levels on defense. Big nickel a lot of the time. Three very good safeties. Average CB. LBs Pace and Hicks cover much like Warner and Dre - speed. They don't stuff the run as well as Cleveland but they do a pretty good job inside.

I've watched 3 Vikes games this year, they can be run on. that being said, expect Kittle to have a big night in honor of national tight end day.

So it appears McCaffrey is actually a little further ahead than Deebo and Trent which seems kind of weird because CMC seemed worse off to begin with.

Well, that[Browns game] certainly sucked and was not fun to watch lol. But we move on to the Vikings...........

The Vikings are 2-4 but they are actually an average ball club that competes week in and week out. They are not all that dissimilar to the team they were last season. They just have not had the fortunate luck of winning the close games that they won at an historical pace last season.

Offensively, we need to run the ball effectively even if CMC does not play. Mitchell and Mason should be good enough to get the job done. Mitchell hasn't been healthy and hasn't looked the same but I'm hoping he gets back to his rookie season form. Mason is a hard runner and always good but he needs to improve in the passing game as a catcher and pass blocker. That's where Mitchell has him beat. I don't think Deebo will play this game and neither will Trent. So we will be out three of our best players. Kittle HAS to get more touches and Shanny can't go an entire game by not getting him any looks. Generate some crossers or get Kittle isolated with LBs and let him go to work. Aiyuk didn't have the best of games but he's a stud and I expect him to have a huge game where he surpasses the 100 yard mark. Purdy faces adversity for the first time in his career and now he gets to shut some people up, especially if Trent/Deebo/CMC all our out. The OL is going to be challenged by the Vikings DL so it should be interesting to see how this all goes.

Defensively, we are not great against the run but the Vikings aren't a great rushing team. The pass rush needs to get to Cousins and rattle him a bit and not let him sit back and go deep to Addison. Cousins is still playing like one of the best QBs in the league even without Jefferson. I'm looking forward to seeing Gregory get more time and I think Bosa finally has his breakout game of the season where he ends up with 2+ sacks. Greenalw looks like he will be returning and that will be huge. He's a true game wrecker and someone we cannot afford to lose for multiple weeks. I think either he or Warner force a fumble. This may be the game where Wilks needs to go back to getting Warner on more blitzes.

The Vikings are not a complete joke and we will be dealing with a lot of big injuries but we are on a totally different level and I expect Purdy to bounceback.

I'm nervous about this stupid turf. Even the Vikings know it's crap and they're planning to replace it. That turf claimed Kelce and Jefferson.

Kirk is going to throw the ball at least 40 times if not more in this game. This means we'll probably pick him off at least once, sack him a few times, and might even get him to fumble the ball away, since he's leading the league in fumbles.

The Vikings defense is pretty average, outside of Hunter who is having a hell of a start to his season, and they also don't run the ball like at all.

They're going to make themselves one-dimensional right from the jump, which means we'll see a lot of Drake Jackson and Randy Gregory and probably less of Ferrell.

I think we win this game even if CMC doesn't play. The Vikings are averaging a little over 2 TDs given up per game. I think we score 3 and Moody hits a big FG to stick it to 49ers Twitter.

Slow down Mattison, make Kirk move the ball slowly down the field and the mistake will come. On offense if Trent doesn't play Hunter may be a problem. Outside of that Minnesota shouldn't have the guys to match up man on man like Cleveland did and if Deebo and CMC play the Niners should walk away with it. I think we will learn something this week with Brock. Coming off a loss this team should be more intentional with all that they do including Brock. I expect Brock with the extra day and coming off a loss to be sharp.
