I doubt it. Kirk hasn't been bad for him to be sat down. Maybe if this continues and they end up mathematically eliminated with 3 games left they stick him in for a few series a game to see what happens. That's the dicey part of this whole keep Kirk and develop a guy behind him idea. How do you handle the transition?

That’s the sad part though. Last regime sucked so we made a change right? Now the new regime blows too. It’s possible to say both regimes are/ was lacking. The common theme here is maybe the ones hiring the GMs and leadership are the real problem. We have owners who know nothing about football so until they lets someone else hire the GM or steps aside after the hire, we in trouble. And no Andrew Miller is not the one for that.

I give you Oliver that’s it out that list. He inherited that OL the one he brought in the sorriest on the OL. Kirk will get extended as soon as he leads us to 8-9. The Wilfs will “like that” cause they cool with the middle. BFlo can’t work his magic with like two horses and a bang of role players. So he can’t give you his total package with a low in talent group. I said 5 undebatable most those you list are. They should have moved off more guys year one IMO.

Let's look at the 2022 draft class first. No excuses for how bad Cine and Booth have been, point conceded. For as much as he struggled early, Ed Ingram seems to be playing a lot better. The offensive line as a whole, it appears, doesn't stink:



Akayleb Evans looks very promising, and is starting. I still like Ty Chandler, but with the acquistion of Cam Akers, oh hey, lookie there, a no risk trade made by Kwesi that looks good so far, Chandler's touches have dwindled.

He also made the TJ Hockenson trade, which, despite his early season struggles was a good trade, and a good extension. Harrison Phillips was agood FA signing, and already mentioned the Akers trade. He also signed Dalton Risner.

For this most recent class, Jordan Addison looks like the real deal, as does Mekhi Blackmon. I really like Jaquelin Roy, but he really hasn't gotten enough playing time to say how he is so far one way or the other.

He also started the long overdue process of dumping older guys with bad contracts. He appears to be ripping the band aid off and will eat a ton of dead money this off-season...which still gives the Vikes around 50 mil in cap space, more than they've had since at least 2018, if not earlier. In two years the Vikes will have one of the healthiest cap situations in the NFL, meaning they'll have room for JJ's extension, Darrisaw's extension, etc.

It's funny to me how a bad start automatically assumes the coach and GM are complete ass after this team went 13-4 last year, when people were complaining that KOC should've been at least nominated for Coach of the Year.

I've been a fan as long as almost anyone alive, going back to the early 70's when I was a kid, and I am just as frustrated and pissed off as the next person that the Vikings haven't won a SB, and stink to start this season. But I also know that firing a GM and coach a year and a half into a rebuild while they're in the middle of getting the players they want is just silly. You end up being the Browns.

And finally...the success or failure of the KAM/KOC era will depend on the QB they pick and develop, because it feels more and more to me that with each passing week that Kirk won't be back next year.
