I am oddly overly confident about this Sunday. There is so much on line yet I am not on edge or have any fear at all. I keep checking that I’m not running a fever or something. I guess I just have a firm belief based solely on our history against the Chargers both short and long term.
Here’s some reasons why we win….
1) The Chargers having won in the state of Minnesota in nearly 30 years. November 1993 to be exact. Since then, they have lost 3 in a row. Add in when the Vikings have gone west, the Vikings are 5-2 against the Chargers since 1993.
In 2021, the Vikings were 3-5 and had lost 2 in a row. The needed a win which they got on the road against the Chargers.
In 2019, the Vikings went to the Chargers and made a statement destroying them 39-10.
Finally, in 2015, the Vikings started off with a lose to the 49ers and win against Detroit. They needed to make statement which they easily did at home against the Chargers, winning 31-14.
2) The Chargers defense is not scary. Bosa Is banged up. They are definitely not the same DLine as the Bucs or Eagles. With Darrisaw back, I have complete faith that our OLine will give Cousins plenty of time to unleash the arsenal. Bold prediction? We have 2 receivers over 100yrds.
3) The Chargers will try to run and fail. When the happens, the gig is up. Our secondary has played above par and with the various blitz packages, Herbert won’t be comfortable.
This is how we win 34-20. I believe!
