What They're Saying:
I’m thinking the eagles come out featuring Goeddert early and get him involved in the game. And hopefully get swift more involved as well. He can’t only have 2 touches. Maybe activate Penny as well? It’s tough to have 4 running backs involved in a game, but I feel like their skill sets are unique enough that it’s doable.
It’s a short turnaround but I think we shake off the cobwebs and have a sharper offensive game on Thursday. The defense still worries me. Too much open underneath stuff all game. The good news is, cousins can be rattled, and we have the pass rush to do so. The bad news is, as we saw Sunday, if guys get open underneath quickly, the pass rush doesn’t have enough time to get there.
Last year we had a poor defensive performance week 1 as well and then held the Vikings to 7 points the next week. So I think history will repeat itself here.

I'm thinking we get Goeddert involved early. Pressure Cousins and rattle him. And beat their ass like we did last year.

The Vikes will be in desperation mode after a bad home loss in Week 1. And man are they due against us...but the disparity along the lines should be massive. After a shaky W1, I think Hurts and our OL rebound in a big way. Defensively, I don't think we can cover them so we'll need to generate a lot of pressure, which I think we'll do in key spots (despite giving up a lot of yards/points).

The offense looked terrible Sunday. Hurts was bad, the OL so-so and there was no running game to speak of. Minny is going to score points against this defense [NE scored 20!] I just don't see them winning Thursday. I know they are 7 pt favorites but that was based on last year's team. Can they out score Cousin? Having said all that I just can't bet against them so its 27-21 Eagles. Not confident in this at all.
I'm not buying into the Vikings giving the Eagles a good game. Vikings are going on the road to Philly on a short week. We all know the Thursday Night road teams are at big disadvantage. The Vikings defense is not that good. They have absolutely no running game and don't really like running the ball. They have a one dimensional pass attacking offense which plays right into the hands of a defense that likes to get after QBs. If this game is close it is because the Vikings score some points in garbage time. The Vikings just lost to Baker Mayfield and the Bucs.

A lot of points to give with the Vikings having a pro bowl TE and WR. They will each have 8-10 catches in the porous middle of our D
Vikes lost to Baker Mayfield...at home.
Injuries and lack of cohesion on defense being partially exposed by a far worse offense in NE. Sure we won by 5 pts, and MIN lost to Tampa at home, but the scorelines can sometimes be misleading.
In our case at least, we won thanks to an Elliot FG that bounced off the upright and went in. An inch farther, and it hits the upright but bounces out, meaning we only woud've had a 2pt lead heading into the Pats final drive, when they easily got in FG range. The 5 pt lead forced them to go for the TD obviously, where they ultimately fell short, but if they only needed a FG instead, they could've won the game all else remaining the same (yes, I know this sort of hypothetical can be a stretch because decision making would've likely been affected, but you get the idea.)

I get the idea but we won and Minnesota didn’t. We were on the road, they were at home. We played ugly and won, they played ugly and lost. We played ugly and stood up and won the game which is what really matters. It was week one. A week where KC lose their home opener. I don’t think we need to should be scared by Kirk Coupons and the Vikings.
The Vikings OLine is really dinged up right now so hopefully with more pressure on Cousins, we won’t have to rely on Jobe and Jones and Morrow and Cunningham and Ellis as much…haha. But for real, hopefully our DLine can totally dominate and ease the pressure on the LBs and DBs. If not….oof.
I’d love to see our offense light them up again, especially after Sunday. Get some big plays, some creative designs. Really extinguish any long term concerns.
Haven’t watched the game yet but their new look defense vs Bucs was apparently pretty inspiring, generated a lot of pressure. Certainly expecting more resistance than we got last year.
On paper we should dominate the trenches on the other side, but it won’t mean anything if Kirk is getting it out in 2 seconds to holes left by our LBs and safeties. Need Desai to prove his worth and help those guys out.

Going to be a polar opposite defensive strategy from MIN... Flores going to send the crib at Jalen & I think that's the one area our offense can struggle with. I am hopeful we can scheme up something against Flores' aggressive nature
Gonna take a team effort to contain Justin Jefferson.
Dont have a score prediction but I dont think Eagles are winning this game if both Bradberry and Reed are sitting this one out. Our Dline is elite but if the QB is getting the ball out in half a sec every time it doesnt really matter. Our playcalling on offense and Hurt's play did just about everything to lose the game, so until I see us play differently im going to be less optimistic
We gonna get to beat up any Minnesotans this week, dontchaknow?
I don't think we will win this one. Which is odd because I thought we'd lose week 1 and win week 2.
I'm very concerned about the defense.
I hope Jalen is back to being his 2022 self.

Kirk in primetime. All that needs to be said.
The only thing that worries me about this game is health. Our offense needs to score points this game and I think they will. This Vikings defense is nowhere near as talented as the Pats and their OL is beat up.
The Vikings just lost to a not good Bucs team at home. We should be able to win this game if we play anything close to our talent level. Looking for the birds to bounce back this week.

They are good at OT if Darrisaw is healthy (he's banged up I think), but their interior OL is pretty cheeks. More experienced than the Patriots rookie OG's we just faced, but still pretty inexperienced and not very good. So basically they got Brian O'Neil- very good RT, but then a banged up LT and a cheeks interior OL.
Hopefully our own RT steps it up against Hunter, because last week was probably the worst game I've seen from Lane since his rookie year.

I think this could be a game where Eagles are going to play dime as much as possible with Edmunds essentially playing in a LBer role on 3rd downs. Even if Reed is somehow able to go I think Sydney is going to get a lot of playing time. Feel like the Eagles' answer is just throw as many DBs onto the field as possible and rely on a front 4 to get to the QB and disrupt the run. I just dont have any confidence in these LBers to cover the middle/TJ/Mattison out of the backfield.
Also as far as blocking goes Garrett Bradbury is not good to begin with, so they might actually be better without him. Where it might hurt them the most is reading the defensive front, cadence, and just snapping the ball to begin with. Hopefully it causes a massive turnover.
Now that I think about it without Dean and Reed, Ellis is the only one left who has the green dot....man if Ellis or any of the other safeties go down it could get ugly.

Thoughts on their thoughts?!?
