Devin White Anyone?

Who cares that White can't cover? Some of you aren't paying attention to Flores amd his personnel preferences. He kept Hicks because he needs 1 ILB that can stuff the run and is an effective blitzer. The other spot is for a Cover ILB.

White is a near-Elite blitzer. And plenty good against the run. It's as much of a no-brainer move as Hockenson...with the exception of the money he's asking for.

Minnesota in the near future will be paying the most money to a WR in the history of the League, Top 3 TE money to Hock and Top 3 money to Darrisaw. And possibly Top 5 money to Hunter if he's extended.

ILB is simply not a premium position and with that many players set to make that much money paying near the top of the market for one makes zero sense from a Roster Construction perspective.

Where Kwesi really screwed up is not inking one of the 35 good, young and cheap FAs. This is a terrible Draft for ILBs. One of the worst I've seen in ages. And he's almost forced to pick one at some point because the depth is a Special Teams only kid and Kwenkeu and that dude from the Rams that is basically a Replacement Level Player.

Frankly, it's his biggest mistake since leaving too much on the table in the trade down with Detroit. The supply of good young ILBs exceeded the demand and most of them were signed for dirt cheap. Big whiff by Kwesi.

I concur. Kwesi went out of his way to not get boxed into having to select any 1 position with the glaring exception of CB, where they don't even have a full contingent, and ILB.

But this Class is weak sauce. Simpson could be a tweener. Sanders may very well get moved back to Edge. Campbell isn't very athletic. Most of the rest of these kids profile like Asamoah but with lower ceilings.

Kwesi can't be going into the Draft thinking Campbell or bust. He's got to have something else up his sleeve. But what? I can't figure it out.

He plays with stiffness. Multiple reports site that his Combine numbers show a unique athlete but the tape says otherwise.
