What they're saying:
While I agree the Lions need to put last week lose behind them, as a Lions fan I can look back to the Falcons game and think to myself "if we can take the Falcons down to the wire, we can compete with any team in this league". That's the focus I have on the Vikings game.
All we need to do is play our game, improve on the things we didn't do well last week, we're going to be 3-1 come Sunday afternoon.

This is going to be another test to see if we are contenders or pretenders. Good news is we are undefeated on the road this year so hopefully we can extend our streak of wins on the road.
Beating Minny in Minny has never been an easy task for the Lions. But at least we have done it often enough now that we can say it is doable if we play well.
Big game for us. Hope the team takes out the frustration of last Sunday on them

I respect this Vikings team. They will be tough. But I think that we return to our winning ways and our kicking game is the difference. The Lions are not going to take this contest lightly and expect a slugfest. None of our division games are gimmies.
We got lucky to win that game last year. This will be nothing less than a dogfight.
Diggs is on fire this year. The Lions would be wise to keep Slay on him all afternoon.
Thielen is very capable as well and Kyle Rudolph could be effective in the intermediate passing game because we traditionally struggle there due to Linebacker coverage limitations. The key is getting pressure on whoever starts because they have enough weapons to hurt us even if we shut Diggs down.
Vikes IMO are set up for failure this game moreso than the Lions. Hope they're not overly high on last weeks game. Cause the Lions will come in hungry. Vikings played pressure packages against a young QB on their field. I'd expect more of the same but Vikes will face a TOTALLY different QB in their house this week, matured, and responding to pressure packages with on line audibles. They're not entirely used to that Stafford. How Stafford responds to pressure packages will be big this game.
I'll be looking at Reiff this week too. I'll be curious what the Lions do against him, knowing his tendencies and weaknesses.

Honestly? I'm scared. They let Keenum air it out (like they should have his first game) and we saw what happened. He also murdered us last year on the frickin Rams. Better team around him now, and if they actually attack downfield it could be a shootout
I'm not too worried if we play field position and make that offense go 80 yards consistently to score. If we play good special teams we'll win. I think this game really comes down to special teams so Prater to me is a huge factor.
Reiff is probably their best O lineman. If that tells you anything (no superstar). DL should keep them off of the LBs and Davis should have room to work
Ok, yesterday sucked, but as Lions fans, we should he desensitized now to all the odd/unique ways the Lions can lose a game. Let's do what the Lions are doing and move on to Minnesota.
This should be a good game, and I expect the Lions to come out and unleash hell on the Vikings. However, for that to happen, they need to do a few things:
1. Get Swanson and Davis back, especially Swanson. Swanson being out made the whole left side of our O line terrible. Davis being out hurt us in the middle of the defense, which we need him back to help...
2. Stop Dalvin Cook. He is the key to their offense in my opinion. It doesn't matter who is the QB, Glass Joe or Keenum, they need to stop Dalvin. Our secondary is pretty damned good and they should make the QB try to beat them by neutralizing Dalvin.
3. Send out an APB for Ziggy. I was listening to the game on the radio yesterday and I don't think I heard his name called at all. Ziggy needs to make Reilly his b*tch and show him why he's not a left tackle.
4. Take advantage of opportunities. Yesterday there were way too many times when the Lions failed to capitalize on opportunities the Falcons gave them, and it xame back to bite them in the a$$ in the end. That means not dropping passes at crucial moments (Hello McEbron!), not making silly drive killing penalties (Hello McLang!) and not leaving Greg Robinson alone in too many situations vs Everson Griffen (Hello McCooter!)
Time to go to US Bird Murdering Bank Stadium and get a W!

Lions seem to always struggle offensively against Minn...They will need some turnovers again to have a shot in this one.
Whatever happens, it can't be more epic than last year's win at Minnesota...
It doesn't matter who their starter is. We're going to take out a lot of aggression from last week and throttle them in their house. I'd bet our DL brings the house this week
The Lions D has been the surprise component this year. This is definitely a winnable game.
Unfortunately I have not seen enough improvement from the offense to go all in on the win side.
Red zone efficiency has not been good enough to beat above average defense in tough inter division match up on the road.

Bottom line is offense needs to get a lot better.
I don't disagree that our offense needs to get better. Stafford has no problem moving the ball, hell he makes it look easy when our guys aren't being flagged for non sense or dropping the ball.
Its pretty evident that our ground game is still a work in progress. JBC might need to bring in someone that can help him with his craft because his play calling is pretty terrible dialing up running plays. I like AA but I think we need an upgrade in the offseason as well.

I know it's early, but...
I think this is game will go a long way toward defining the Lions' season. A win here, on the road against a division opponent, will get the Lions to 3-1. It will build confidence and set the stage for a season that could be more than trying to be .500 and squeak into the playoffs.
A loss and we could be resigned to another year of watching the other NFC teams and hoping that things work out for a playoff spot.

Going to be a good game. Who would have thought that the Lions would have the better defense and the Vikes would have the better offense coming into this game?
Keenum & Diggs both had good games against us last year. I think shutting down Diggs will be key...and hopefully the D-Line will be able to slow down Dalvin Cook.
I expect a low scoring game.
I expect a low scoring game.
I fear that Kyle Rudolph will completely **** us up. I'm not worried about Diggs with Quinn and Slay back there. But the LB will be key to winning this game. They get the ball out quick so lack of pass rush shouldn't be an issue.
Time for a Staffy 2.0 where he throws us a win at the wire like last time there.
Should be a fun game. Minny is pretty damn good...even with Keenum at QB. I think keenum is their biggest weakness, but they have such good skill players that it makes up for it a bit.
I don't know what we are going to do about Diggs and if we can stop him, his teamate Adam Thielen is incredible. I don't see us stopping both of those guys, so this game may end up being a shootout.

We'll probably come out and lay a stinker.
If the Vikings are smart they let Dalvin get 25 carries after what Freeman did last week, we can't stop anything.
