2023 Offseason Discussion (moves, rumors, hopes & dreams!)

Well having something more to say than one word hot take insults puts you a big leg up on the CBS guy... go after his job! 

Let's stick to reality because I didn't say the word "good" about either signing.   I just think the author is totally weak, especially for a guy who gets paid.  But if you want my takes, here they are:

Oliver was PFF's second best blocking TE last year and KOC wants to improve and utilize the run game more.   It's the kind of bargain signing the cap-strapped Vikings have to make do with in some cases.  I couldn't tell you if it's a "good" signing or not, time will tell.

Rather than b.s. like "OMG ONE SACK!!" I'd say Davenport is a prove-it type contract.  If he lives up to his potential based on prior years performances it's a bargain, if not, it's one year.   He's a fit for what Flores does and no doubt Flores had input on the signing. They need a replacement for Zadarius who I still think is as good as gone.  And he's 4 years younger than Zadarius.   

I also think the cornerback signing is decent, guess that didn't make it into the hot take "D" grade.  Which btw is totally f*cking ridiculous, it's about as useful/informative as guys grading draft picks the instant they're made.   No doubt Mr. CBS will be there on draft night screaming "BUST!" at various teams as they make their selections.  How informative!
