Sure, there aren't nearly enough Vikings on this team, but that will come in time.
I just tore it apart a little to see if there are any trends to go by (not really. It's a crapshoot who turns out great in the NFL)
Of course, Brock Purdy, with a full year starting under his belt, will be the first team All Pro next season. But this year, both QBs were top 10 picks.
The WRs are all over the place. Jefferson and CeeDee Lamb are the only first round WRs. Two 2nds (Brown and Adams) and two 5ths (Tyreek and Diggs) prove you don't have to pick them high to get the best. Same for TEs, as there are a 3rd and 5th round pick who are the best at the position.
Offensive line: all four OTs are first round picks and Laremy Tunsil is the lowest drafted at 13. At OG there is a first, second, third and sixth. The first team center was a 6th and second team center was a 2nd. I thought Creed Humphrey was picked lower than round two.
On defense, the edge rushers have two firsts (Bosa and Reddick), a 4th and a 5th. That's surprising to me. The OT and the edge rushers are very high priority positions, yet two of the All Pro rushers are low round picks.
The DTs follow that logic more closely. Three first round picks and one second. Two of them are from Mississippi State, one from Alabama and one from Pittsburgh and tremendously undersized.
LBs are typically not high picks. Micah Parsons and CJ Mosely are first round picks. Matt Milano and Fred Warner, were 5th and 3rd rounders, respectively...or respectfully. Whichever one applies.
CBs- Rookie phenom, and guy I wish we could have drafted, Sauce Gardner makes the All Pro team. As a rookie! Hear that, Mike Zimmer? It doesn't have to take four years to "train a CB"!!! That dope from the team of cheese and Jaycee Horn were also first rounders. Two second rounders made it too. You have to draft a CB fairly high evidently. Prove them wrong, Dantzler. Or Shelly
Safeties. Only one first rounder (Fitzpatrick--he's Irish). The rest are low round picks and nobody knows who they are. Save your safety picks for later.
22 of these players were first round picks, and ten of those were top 10 picks. Six were top 5 picks.
Seven of them were second round picks. I know we don't have one, but regardless.
Four were third rounders, and only one each from the 4th and 7th. SIX from the 5th round. Hear that, Rick Spielman? You were still picking too low!!!
A whopping five players came from the University of I Hate Them (rhymes with ramalama), Three each from Georgia (not too crazy about them either) and Cincinnati of all places. Two of them are Kelces, so if you can find a Kelce (or a Manning) in the draft, do it! It's not quite time to tank for Arch, but we'll be discussing it in a couple of years.
Two each from Mississippi, Mississippi State, LSU and Oklahoma. The SEC is strong in the futbol, y'all.
Specail teamers exist. It's time we admit it...reluctantly. The kicker (you know the guy) and punter are undrafted players.
What do you think about this bunch?
