I dont like trading back in the draft, especially when you net the chronically ill Booth Jr. I dont like picking CB's in the first round either unless they look like Sauce Gardner. It takes corners three years to learn the fine line between pass interference and great coverage. Trae Waynes took it out of me, I just waited and waited for him to get better. He never did. And the speculators kept saying he just needed experience. Jeff Gladney and Mike Hughes ouch!
The talent level from after 12 or 15 through 100 is not that big of a difference in most Drafts. You trade back and get an extra pick. Literally a no-brainer unless somebody unexpectedly falls.
There are multiple Rookie CBs starting and playing well this year. And the Booth pick was widely graded the highest of all the picks Kwesi made. Cook was a guy who fell because of injuries. You roll the dice because of the upside.
Waynes was a bit of a reach. Hughes and Gladney were bad luck. Don't reach. Don't have bad luck.
I remember during the Trae Waynes draft i followed the prognosticators, like all of them, they had them stacked up side by side like 30 of them. Trae Waynes came up as the pick for the Vikings like almost 50 percent of the time. He was a number 10 or 11 pick. Sucked
I have been an unbeliever in Booth Jr, but maybe he will come around, personally I think someone needs to kick him in the rear. The quad "strain" one in college is the one that did it for me. You b*tch enough to a doctor and you got a strain.
