No contortions needed. Anyone with eyes could see that he, along with Bradbury, were the biggest issues on offense against the Giants. If he is in the starting lineup next season, it won't because of anything he actually did on the field, it will because the Vikings feel they have invested too much in him to move on already and because there are no other options.

Cool, so throw out the PFF stats, ESPN's win rate, the pressures allowed, sacks allowed, the eye test, and just simply rely on the sole fact that the Vikings start him. What a persuasive argument!

Following that logic, should the Vikings retain every single starter on their roster for 2023, just because the Vikings started them! Bring back every single starter on defense too, 31st in yards allowed is just a dumb stat made by nerds who never played football! Who cares that they couldn't win a playoff game against a 9.5 win team at home, wins are just a stat too!

I'm not breaking news here when I say most rookies struggle when entering the NFL. Yes Ingram did struggle so no need to pull out every metric explaining that because it was obvious. What was also obvious is he did get better down the stretch and there's enough talent there to think he may improve after a full off-season in a NFL off-season program.

I'm sure it's not an easy thing for millennial mind to grasp but some of us knew what was good, what was bad and what was good enough before the advent of PFF stats and ESPN win rate. I'm sure you think that's not possible but it happened. So essentially the "eye test" is what we went with.....and we liked it!

Yeah I'm not saying that. I'm saying Ingram is always going to be a starter while he's a Viking. So when Ingram is a starter again next year at RG (which is going to happen) it'll be more evidence that he continues to be the best option. I'm still riding' with Adofo-Mensah and O'connell on personnel decisions. Going against the purple pain grain

Another contextual piece of evidence is that he was playing next Bradbury, then Schlottman and even Reed for a few games. All while the IOL was learning IZB. Not sure what scheme LSU ran but that was a new system for Cleveland and Bradbury to learn, which couldn't have helped Ingram.

And Minnesota was inarguably pass happy. Not quick passing either. Long developing option routes that required a Rookie RG to log a ton of Pass Pro reps and keep his blocks longer. The Coaches did him absolutely no favors.

I'm really banging the drum for a Free Agent Center. Let's get a better look at Cleveland and Ingram with a proven veteran between them. And a more balanced Offensive approach.

You really should stop playing the "You don't understand football," card. Unless you can prove it to be always valid, with evidence, it is a hasty generalization.
